They do not behave as if you are a professional, but rather as if you are a high school kid on your first job. You are not consulted on any changes to your schedule or responsibilities, simply assigned whatever they please. Worse, if ANYONE, from nurse to patient to janitor, has any complaints about you, you are guilty. You have no opportunity to defend yourself, nor even to know what the complaint actually is. In six years working here, I have never received a raise. There is no opportunity to even ask. Yet they demand ever increasing volumes of output. Staffing levels are determined by mysterious bureaucrats who you never see, and could not even name. If you simply want to go to work, not talk to anyone nor actually see a patient, this is the job for you. If you wish to actually be a professional, look elsewhere.

The doctor spent maybe 10 minutes speaking about my issues and used the rest of the time to get tips on how to remove mold from his rental properties as that's what I do for a living. They then said I needed blood and urine tests. I agreed. When I left, my total was an astounding $1485. I was not told the tests were not part of the initial consultation fee. The doctor told me he would call me with the results. He didn't call at the scheduled time. When I called to inquire, they told me it would be $50 to schedule a 10 minute phone call to discuss results. They said that would be refunded, but after the 8 minute call, I was charged another $155. When I had left the first time, they sent me with some powders. The doc was shocked that I didn't feel completely better. I felt no better in fact. He then told me to try more supplements. So here I am nearly $1700 later with no real answers for my issues.

In the meantime I have daily meds I need and they (Open Door)filled them once already. But when I called the pharmacy to check way it was taking so long they told me Open Door denied the refill, but no one from Open Door let me know that. I called them today to ask about that and see if they can fill for one week before I can get in to the new doctor and they said no unless I want to come to Mankato to see them first, which again I can't do!!!!!! I feel that because this is a daily needed med that 1 week isn't asking much. So now I will be going on a second week without my daily meds. I hope they can sleep at night.

And then she started to attack me verbally about my meds. She did not explain anything to me. I tried to tell her that I didn't understand. She asked me nothing about my health conditions mental health conditions. She asked me no questions immediately started attacking me about what a psychiatrist had prescribed me. I was very confused at first also felt self-conscious felt self-conscious about the way I was being treated. Then it finally clicked and I realized she didn't like the meds my previous prescriber had given me. She did not explain anything to me. She just verbally attacked me. I told I told her that I didn't understand and then she said do I want to leave now . So she asked me to leave. I had no idea how to get out of the building. And I had to ask for three times for her assistance to get to the lobby. Then I got a little angry and I told her she was rude and nobody deserves we treated the way she was treating me. I went home I slept and cried all day long. Nobody under God's green earth should ever be treated like that especially somebody that has anxiety depression post-traumatic stress. Even if you don't have any kind of mental disabilities nobody should ever be treated like that. It was a second most horrific thing I have been through. In my life. I totally thought about maybe I wasn't good enough to be helped by the professional fields. And maybe I should just go home and die.

Now remember I'm in severe pain I had to have the hospital patient care assistant come to my room and talk with me. Now remember I just got done and having a nine and a half hour surgery on my neck. While she was sitting talking to me another nurse walks up to my door and yells how dare you make so-and-so cry. I had a look at the patient care assistant and said I don't even know who this woman is I looked at the patient care lady and said who is this person I don't know her is this how Mayo Healthcare treats their patients. She made the woman apologize to me and I just looked at her and said this is crazy maybe they need to go back and graduate from kindergarten before they become a RN and deal with with people who are in severe pain from a surgery. Horrible Hospital!

This hospital has many issues from disorganized staff to rude nurses and doctors. It sucks that they are in any way associated/affiliated with Mayo Clinic because that may in some way conn people into thinking they have a standard of care equal to the Mayo Clinic. They don't. If I were dying I think I would try to make it to the next hospital and if I could at all wait I'd make the drive to Rochester. Wouldn't take an animal here. Ask around to the people in town they all seem to have their own horror stories.

Several tests were required to determine proper care. All the tests were done within the facility. Through each step they kept us informed and updated. Each person was caring, expressed concern, provided information and addressed the problem. Yes it took some time as they were a little busy starting with ebut very reasonable.
