We arrived at around 10am and the smell of freshly brewed coffee was too much to resist. And just as well - the ladies informed us there were no more stops until Oturehua (a 4 hour cycle) so if we wanted lunch we need to order it there. Armed with 4 large vege-packed sandwiches and instructions for a shady spot to stop (it got up to 36 degrees that day) we hit the road again! Thank goodness for Stationside Cafe is all I can say!
