And Langat is served properly according to proper custom and protocol, in a separate hall. The spiritual experience is great, especially on Friday evenings when it's less crowded. I also like the crowd - very well behaved and cosmopolitan in many ways. I like that they try to compost and use paper plates as much as they can. They probably need to start getting compostable spoons too. Their parking situation is not that great, mostly on festivals. And I wish the premises were maybe expanded and made better.

Back in 2008 there was a pressing need for a place of worship and communal service to cater for the needs of the community of Sikhs in Jersey City which led to the setting up of "Nanak Naam Jahaj Gurdwara", since then this Sikh temple has been serving the people from all the faiths and religions. This is my spot to go when I am in a mood to pray and need peace for my soul. The Gurudwara is very big and is very well designed and also has a huge parking lot. As always inline with the values and traditions of Sikhism, this place regularly holds sessions where prayer is held and langar(free food is served). They normally have the sessions on weekdays and also on weekends too.
