The bartender was friendly, and the place has a lived-in charm that suited the town perfectly. A local told us it's more of a locals' bar. It's easy enough to reach, though tucked away enough that we might have missed it without looking. My favorite part was seeing a customer with two dogs sitting politely on chairs at the bar, one on each side of him. They stayed that way for the hour or so we were there! We had a great time and will definitely stop in again the next time we're in Tonopah.

We came in around 9 PM after a whole day hike in the North twin River for pre-hunting survey. The bar owner informed us that they were closing at 10 PM, so that was a bummer! We decided to leave to go to camp and agreed to come back the day after. We came in at 2 PM the next day and met Robyn (bartender/owner). Such an amazing person. We played pool and ordered a bunch of drinks. I ordered Long Island ice tea which Robyn made so effortlessly flawless! At par to what I get in Vegas or maybe even better. This was very impressive! Tom got tap beer which I believe was from Great Basin Brewery - I notice he loves this brewery a lot and usually picks this whenever this comes up as a choice. The inside decor is great. Taxidermy of deers, elks, mountain goat and many more (I wish I took pictures - I definitely will when we go back on October). The bathrooms were very clean and well kept and decorated to the theme. They don't have an attached kitchen to order food but it wasn't a deal breaker, we came for the drinks and the conversation and we got what we came for! On my most recent stop I witnessed a guy buy the whole bar a round (maybe 13 people), plus a pack of smokes for himself and only spent $36. So thats the kind of pricing you have to look forward to. First of all this bar is now just the Lucky Spur Saloon (Zach apparently was former owner) and if you are ever traveling across Nevada on US 50 just East of Austin Nevada take side trip south on 376 about 15 miles to Kingston and we guarantee it will be worth it. Kingston is a tiny little town nestled in this beautiful valley and just follow the small road into Kingston and you will literally run right into the Lucky Spur Saloon. It is a very quaint and well kept bar with a personality almost as big as the owners Robyn and Joey. They serve a great Bloody Mary and although they do not have a Kitchen they partner up with a nearby Bed and Breakfast so they do offer food delivered to the bar. The view is amazing over the valley and they were kind enough to let us park our big RV for the night so we could enjoy some great adult beverages .

I partook in a few, but I'm gonna need alot more visits to get em all! We first got there around 6pm and it was just the 4 of us. Within an hour or so, there was about 30 people in there. The lone bartender was scrambling! But keeping all the patrons happy! Sat next to a Vegas guy who always stops in a for a bit on his way between Reno and Vegas. Like us, his kid goes to UNR. Always drive through Tonopah, but we stayed at the Mizpah for a night and wanted to visit the Tonopah Liquor Company. TLC as it's locally known. Just the right size to unwind for the night, shoot some pool or a quick pitstop. Has a few bar top machines too. Doesn't open till 5 pm though.

Be forewarned that you need cash and there is no ATM in town. We were caught on this as there's no signage to tell you this. We actually almost had to do dishes for the first time in our lives to pay our bill. The bar has very nice antique finishes slot machines and a local flair of characters. We met very nice folks there and learned a lot about the town history. They are hoping to have a restaurant in the future.
