Lady on the phone said just come in at 9:00 am on Wednesday. So I showed up on time, an older female did my pedicure (which was fine), she doesn't do fills, so I waited for a different tech to do the fill. About 10:15 or 10:30, Tony arrived to work. He didn't acknowledge me which makes me think he didn't know I was his patron. The other male tech had already started on my hands and I didn't want to be rude, so I just thought it would be OK this time and next time I'll ask to speak with Tony personally to set my appointment. The kicker is, after having been a regular customer to the shop for at least 8 months, the male tech decided to charge me $85.00. That's 10.00 more than I've previously been charged. I always tip at least 15.00 and sometimes 20.00. That's an adequate tip. My advice would be to schedule with a tech you know and ask the price for the services you want prior to going. All the techs shouldn't be punished for the two shady characters behavior, but it's left a bad vibe for me and I'm done with the place, valuable lesson learned. ​

With Pain…read more If you're looking for a relaxing pedicure, Nevada Nails managed to turn mine into a lesson on why you should apparently supervise every single cut. Before the tech started, I VERY specifically told her to cut my big toenails straight across and NOT down the sides because I'm prone to ingrown toenails. I couldn't have made the instructions any clearer. She did exactly what I told her NOT to do. She cut down the sides of BOTH big toenails. I didn't realize how badly until a day or two later when both toes started hurting. Now I'm dealing with painful ingrown toenails on BOTH feet. Seriously, what is the point of asking a customer what they want if you're just going to completely ignore them? This wasn't some complicated nail-art request. It was literally: "Please don't cut down the sides." Somehow even that was too much to ask. Without question, this was the WORST pedicure I have ever had. I paid money to leave in worse condition than when I walked in. That's actually impressive, just not in the way a business should be proud of. Nevada Nails won't have to worry about seeing me again. I'll happily take my money somewhere that considers listening to the customer part of the service. Absolutely will NOT be back. One star only because Google doesn't offer zero.

I'd only gotten my lashes done one time prior to Shea, when I was visiting California and it was something I wanted to continue to explore. I'd visited Divine Threading (Aliante location) before to get my eye brows waxed and so I asked about their lash services. The front desk rep suggested that I schedule an appointment with Shea. From my first appointment with Shea I knew that she was THE one. From her relatability, her welcoming demeanor, to her attention to detail and effective commication about business policies, available services and prices, I was sold. I explained to Shea that I wanted the Classic set but wanted them to look extremely natural. We looked through some of her photos of other clients so that I could more accurately provide a tangible example; but what also set Shea apart was her knowledge shared as well. Shea educated me on facial features and how certain looks can be more complimentary to certain facial structures (ie: head size, head shape, eye brow alignment, eye shape, etc). She educated me on how to properly care for my lashes especially as a new client who wasn't familiar with getting this service. I would absolutely recommend Shea if your looking for a lash technician and live in the North Las Vegas area!!! Pros: Shea is professional she is efficient and meticulous she is relatable, warm and welcoming she is an effective communicator she is reliable Cons: The biggest con is the customer service and communication from the business itself I've had the front desk reps call me to confirm appointment times and dates that were wrong I've had experiences where Shea was out of town and I booked with another technician I'd never seen before. I showed up to my appt. and after waiting 15 -20 mins was told there was an error in the company system And they double booked Ky. During this specific incident, the front desk informed Ky of my arrival. apparently she told them that she did not have an appt with me and continued with another client she had taken back after my arrival. Not once did Ky come out and introduce herself, ask who I'd been scheduled with or any Sort of direct acknowledgment While I was present. After expressing my dissatisfaction with my experience and highlighting that I no longer wanted to communicate with the office due to their lack of professionalism, customer service and sheer human respect, I was contacted by Ky directly to apologize for her lack of professionalism. I would absolutely recommend Shea as your lash technician but would suggest that Divine Threading owners work on more effectively: Streamlining their appointment system(s) Front desk staff being more informed on appointment times and dates Taking ownership of miscommunication to show you value your clients and their time Technicians being more customer oriented and friendly to all as you could miss opportunities of new clients based on first impressions.

From my understanding, not allowing customers to avoid the surcharge through cash or debit is illegal in the state of Nevada. There should also be a notice around the payment area that they are surcharging so that way people are aware before being charged. The first time I went I remember not being told that my credit card would by surcharge so I took a debit card for my second visit and that's when I was told a debit would still be charged the surcharge fee.
