With a menu of over 60 local brews, plus a few "industrial beers" (all brewed in the local Moctezuma-Heineken brewery), the place can please all beer fanatics' taste buds. Unlike most pubs, Cueva Carvajal has a very interesting food menu, highlighted by pub favorites with a gourmet twist, at a competitive price. Ribeye Tacos, Tuna Tartare, BBQ pork ribs, Lobster Roll, Burgers, and Mac n' Cheese are among the food options I've tried and would definitely recommend. Overall, this place stands out through a blend of local artisanal beer plus a gourmet pub cuisine. An interesting place to visit for those who want more out of their traditional pubs.

The beer is inexpensive, the music is great (if you are into 90's and 2000's alternative rock) and they have a small pizza place inside with pretty tasty slices (try the chipotle crema on your pizza) Nowadays in my opinion, the crowd is 25-40 years old. Including myself. The people who continue to go, are mostly to reminiscence about the good ol' days. The music continues to be the same as what they played 15 years ago, with some mild adjustments to fit in a few hits of today by bands like Hot Chip, Black Keys, etc.

I would love to see this place expand to include more stages including IDM/downtempo and more chilled out electronica, as well as more jazz. But the rock is usually very good. I can only hope they don't have too many mainstream music. Also, the pizza is good, IF you are drunk and fairly priced. Beer is pretty cheap too.
