I love that this place is in my neighborhood and that I get to stop by at the drop of a dime knowing that I will have a delicious meal. I personally enjoy coming by myself and taking a seat at the bar. Their bourbon smash is one of the best I've ever had and I always get it. They also have an extensive wine list. The menu is a fusion between Moroccan and Italian cuisine. They have a ton of lamb dishes which is right up my alley. I think I've tried them all. My fave is the lamb risotto. The shank is soooo tender and the risotto is full of cream and flavor. The Moroccan spices really elevate each dish. I've also tried the lamb couscous, which is tasty also. Today I tried a Moroccan lamb sausage that was on the appetizer menu. Again, the Moroccan spices made it delicious. I also had the burrata salad. I will say that the tomatoes were a bit soft for my liking for this type of salad. However, they did put some type of spice mixture on top, which made it very flavorful and made up for the soft tomato's. I typically expect an heirloom tomato to be pretty sturdy. Their bread service is phenomenal: two soft dinner rolls, with a trio of hummus, olive tapenade, and oil and balsamic vinegar, that comes with every entree. It's truly irresistible. I love this place and have never had a bad meal here.

My friend and I stopped into the Great Lakes Brew Pub for Sunday brunch. We were seated right away…read more We went on a cold afternoon, and this space is the perfect cozy escape from the outside cold. They have a variety of drinks (beer, cocktails, n/a) to choose from. For our appetizers, we ordered the pickles. They were just a bowl of their house made pickles, which were great- but I probably wouldn't order again. For my entree, I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which came with fries. My friend ordered the avocado toast. But of our entrees were really good. I like that they use a lot of local ingredients. Our service was great too. This is a solid spot. Would definitely check out again!

Ugh. Don't know what to say…read more Good and bad. It was very crowded and busy when we arrived for lunch today. A good thing! Great ambience. Incredible. We ordered a pitcher of their Christmas Ale. I'm not a beer person. But I did like this ale. You could tell it was made with exceptional ingredients, the hops was very prevalent. Just a really good ale even for an occasional beer drinker like myself. We had to move tables because the small room was loud. But that's ok. Our server was excellent she really made us feel at home and did everything she could to make uus feel comfortable. Now, both my lunch companion and I both chose the fish and chips. It was a very tasty flaky cod for $19/$21 that came with sweet potato fries or regular fries. Gotta say, the portions seemed awfully skimpy. I realize they weight it, but honestly I was expecting a lot more. I should have gone for the meatloaf. The sweet potato fries and cole slaw were excellent. For dessert, we got the bread pudding, made in house. It was really very good, but my recommendation would be to add more of the sauce. It was a nice thick piece of excellent bread pudding, but as with all bread pudding, the secret is in the sauce that came with it. Aside from very poor food portions, the server we had had all the charm of Heinrich Himmler if he were waiting on Golda Meir. He never looked at you or stopped at your table. You had to state your request as you walked by him. He treated us like we were a complete inconvenience for him. And I noticed he was the same way with every other table, so it wasn't us. Frankly, a charming place with a terrible waiter in need of larger food portions.
