Give Manchester Market another chance. A lot more going on here now then lottery tickets, smokes and malt liquor. They've significantly expanded their space and their offerings - the result is a better shopping experience with some pleasant surprises. Much better selection of beer and wine and an upgrade to the snack selections. Did they have Nightingale ice cream sandwiches before? Sweet! Especially since Cafe Zata no longer carries them. They could take better advantage of the space. It's lighter and more open now, which is good, but with no major grocers in Manchester (yet) they could add more real food and essentials. They're working on it. For example, you can find whole milk and, surprisingly, oat milk, but no skim. So you em a shot as they're likely gonna be your go-to in between Kroger runs for a while. read more

The place is cluttered, prices are not listed anywhere, everything is grossly overpriced, and the lady at the register is notoriously rude. The only pro to this store that warrants it two stars is that they do have a good selection of items. read more

They over charge their customers because of where the store is located. no price labels which means we are over priced!! I'd rather drive to another store instead paying $$$$double!!! TOO HIGH!!!! read more

The lady that works there daily has a horrible attitude and all the pricing is made up by her on the spot hence why their isn't any price tags on items and will curse you out for asking for a receipt if a total doesn't add up read more

Needed to pick up a few last minute 'game day' supplies, and this place was it. It's another place that doesn't have dedicated parking so find a spot of the street. A great selection of chips, dips and game day goods. If you want wine and beer they have you covered. In the fridge, six and 12 packs or singles. An ahhhmazing selection of wines & champagne. This place is keeping the neighborhood buzz on. They have a decent selection of necessary grocery and dry goods on the shelf as well. An ATM and Va Lotto, do you feel lucky? read more

Manchester Market - Lot O Wine - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Richmond, Virginia

Terrible attitudes from the people who work here especially the grandma of the group. The price is literally 4 times the price of the grocery store. Flour tortillas 8.99, pretty sure they're generally 99 cents at the already inflated farm fresh in Shockoe. read more

Sad to say but richmond is full of food deserts and Manchester is one of them. Unfortunately this business takes advantage of that and triples their prices. I bought juice from here in a rush, that would typically cost $1.50-$3 and it was $6+ at this store. Literally the only thing that makes this store convenient is the location and honestly by time I go here, I would just go a little farther to get to Rite Aid or Family Dollar. read more

They have a really large selection on pretty much anything you may need. Not sure how long some of the products and food have been hanging out on the shelves, but alas. The biggest gripe is what everyone else says - there are NO PRICES on any products. This promotes dishonest business. We do not need this in Manchester. read more

While I'd love a fresh produce section, I appreciate this place for being here. This area of RVA is a food desert, and I can't understand why we don't have a grocery store, so a market like this serves an incredible purpose for the many new residential developments in the area. They may not have everything you need, but they have enough to get you in between the moment and whenever you have time to get to the your nearest grocery store. 8.5/10. read more

This is the last bad thing left in the new upcoming Manchester neighborhood. Not only are the prices through the roof, horrible family business but it brings individuals to loiter in front of the store. Majority of them sleeping on the concrete. This kinda business has to go, fast. Ripping people off and inviting certain behavior to stay present in the area. Hopefully new business like chipotle, ABC store, Hatch Local and beer restaurant will drive them out of business. read more

What a great addition to Manchester area... Just moved to the area and was frustrated with closest grocer being farm not-so-fresh, not a fan of theirs... Yes this market is a little pricier, but when you need one thing it beats driving to a Kroger that is 15 minutes away if you live in Manchester... This store has a pretty good selection of goods, think a 7-eleven on steroids, or maybe a CVS/Walgreens, but they have some food to go options...and I have to take a minute to preach on beer selection. They actually are better than most groceries stores when it comes to craft selection. Decent wine selection. Already enjoying the perks of this place being two streets away, and the guy running the place is cordial, very helpful, and does his best to call you by your name; customer service is apparent. read more

I dont know what you guys are really expecting out of a tiny convenience store, but maybe its time to re-evaluate your expectations Its nice for what it is. and has the basic items you would expect to find in any random side store or whatever No ons goes to 7/11 for a gourmet 3 course meal & it would be safe to assume its the same here. Who eats gas station food anyways? McDonalds is 5 minutes away if you want heartburn that bad. Anyways, i've been a couple times now, found the basic necessities i've needed, and the workers have been friendly & chill. Its 2020, there's bigger issues to worry about than writing short story length reviews about overpriced fries, grow up read more

I was really excited for this place as a new resident in Manchester. Unfortunately, this place is not worth it. Nothing has a price on it and when you ask them for prices, they say different prices for the same things. They never want to give you a receipt. Everything is super pricey. Things were all over the place and not very organized, but the biggest issue is that when there was a homeless man in front of me (minding his own business using $2 to buy a drink) the man behind the counter told him that he needed to learn to take a shower. When the man responded that he has no where to go, he was answered with "then you aren't a man." Really hurt to watch someone get treated that way for living their life. Really wish I would have had a different experience read more

I bought an already overpriced bottle of wine (which is a given because this is a private business) for $15.99. My total bill was $19.07. That's about 20% tax...that's ridiculous. I bought a $1.79 pack of orbit and my total was $2.43. That's almost 40% tax...that's ridiculous. The store is very convenient and the guy (who I believe is the owner) is very nice. They have almost everything you will need but just a heads up that it is pricey. read more

I will never go here again. The cashier was very unprofessional and inappropriate. Too bad because I could've been a lifelong customer if he had not been so incredibly inappropriate. read more

They offer a great variety if you live close by and are in a pinch for something . Nice staff

I've put off reviewing this place for the better part of a year, but tonight, I wanted to grab a 6-pack before midnight and their doors were locked at 11:43 PM. This place is a complete joke. Been going here as a "last resort" type of place for the better part of 2 years. Nowhere else in the Manchester area stays open til midnight (McDonought market is open til 10 PM and they are a million times better) Sketch location, been confronted by multiple people outside for money/food, including multiple who got slightly angry/annoyed and made me feel uncomfortable. They don't really have price tags on ANYTHING. MAKE SURE you check your total before you pay. I've been charged 3 different prices for the same item in the same time period. The dude who runs the place is a complete jackass, who refers to you as "my friend" only until you ask about the standards/prices and then will immediately become cold. They never offer me a bag despite buying multiple items. I've bought IPAs (craft beer) that have a best by date of 2 months beforehand. They have ACTUALLY refused to give me a receipt before because it was "for one thing" Will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I'm tired of this, especially in this area when it comes to convenience stores. This area deserves better 1000%. read more

I joined Yelp solely for the purpose of alerting people to the near certainty that you will be charged more than the posted price for items in this store. I had 3 different people attempt to overcharge me a total of 6 or 7 times before I finally got the message across that I was willing to pay their absurdly inflated prices, but that I would not be defrauded and stolen from. They stopped overcharging me...but when a friend went to pick something up for us, he was overcharged by 10%. The two of us returned together, and, when the cashier saw me come through the door, she laughed and started got the money she overcharged him from under the register. Obviously it was not an accident or error. read more

This is not establishment who means well for the community it serves. They do not have prices listed to up charge customers they feel the need to. I have witnessed an experienced their treatment first hand. I was a tenant in the apartment complex above. They up charge customers depending on who you are. That is racism at its finest. Do not patronize this establishment read more

I used to frequent this place because of the convenient location, however all the vast items have no price tag, and you're being over charged most of the time. The lady at the register is also extremely rude. She misheard me when I asked for a bag for my sodas, and got upset with me saying "I asked you, and you said no!" I said, "No, I said yes". She rolls her eyes and throws my items in my bag, which prompts me to say "Just because you didn't hear me- that's not my problem." She goes "No problem!" And throws my bag at me. I don't come to this place for the customer service, however you're not going to speak to me however you please when I'M giving YOU MY business. read more

Excellent selection of convenience items in an underserved area. The catch is almost nothing is priced. Same items are different prices each time I've been in. I watched as the cashier scans one item in an order and makes up prices for the rest. He refused to give a receipt. Markup is to be expected in a place like this, but this is ridiculous. They were very rude to a young man of color in front of me. Avoid this place. read more

This place is perfect. I just moved to Manchester and was disappointed when I realized there aren't any convenience stores out here yet... until I found Manchester Market! This place has you covered if you forgot to buy something on your shopping trip. Beer. Best beer selection that I've seen in a convenience store. Whether it's craft or big brand name they probably have the beer you are looking for. They have coffee, fountain drinks some fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as many foreign candies and snacks that you don't normally see. Looking forward to becoming even more reliant upon this establishment! Finally, the staff there is really friendly and will remember you by name. read more
