We were fortunate enough to get up close and personal with Triangle the manatee, and Kia made sure everyone in our group had an opportunity for a face-to-face encounter. Along the way, we learned a lot about manatees, their habitat, and the importance of protecting these gentle giants. We also got to explore a beautiful natural spring tucked away in the back of the bay, which was an unexpected bonus and absolutely stunning. Kia took some fantastic underwater photos during the tour and had them sent to us before we even left, which was a wonderful touch and gave us great memories to take home. The small-group atmosphere made the experience feel personal and relaxed, and Kia and Jake worked seamlessly together to ensure everyone had a great time. Instead, the guide told our 6-year-old there was an alligator in the water when there wasn't one. Our child was terrified and in tears. Scaring young kids for cheap thrills is not entertainment -- it's irresponsible. A guide's job is to make families feel safe while enjoying the experience, not to traumatize children. We would not recommend this for anyone with small kids. Extremely disappointed.

We visited Monkey Island and saw their new digs! The kids especially enjoyed their antics. Saw great blue herons, a few osprey nests, cormorants, Anhinga, turtles and manatee. We highly recommend this boat tour. Since we are locals, we do take this enjoyable cruise at least 3x's a year always learning something new. They provided us with wet suits & snorkels for swimming in the slightly cool river. The boat took us to a several different places on Crystal River to provide us whit as many opportunities as possible to see the manatees. The captain of the boat was ever so careful to turn off the engine when we were near any manatees. He was a wealth of knowledge and taught us so much about these wonderful creatures.

But then he diligently searched for the spot until he found where the red fish were flocking. We caught 1, 2, 4 red fish each among the three of us in 30 minutes. It was an incredible rush. Sometimes they wrestled and broke the line, but Capt. Zorn always helped us get the shrimp back on and re-cast. We each caught 2-5 fish that day, and sent back all but one each due to the rules. He took…read moreus out of Crystal River and taught us how to fish with artificial bait for Speckled Sea Trout. We caught our limit of specs and two Spanish Mackerels to boot. It was such a blast! He was patient and a great teacher. He is also funny and hard working. He has a fantastic boat and great fishing equipment.
