This was my…read morefirst time traveling with Air France and the premium class experience was absolutely lovely. Boarding can be a bit hectic, but this was handled well. The staff then came around to take meal orders, but I pre-ordered my meal so the staff simply came and confirmed that I was in the right seat. Shortly after take off, food was served in a 3 course style. First came appetizers including a salad, a small piece of poached lobster, and a warm roll(don't worry bread is a recurring theme on Air France). My main course was a seared seabass with sautéed radishes and wild rice. For dessert I had a cheese plate, a dessert sampler, mixed fruit and a small coffee. About an hour to landing, breakfast was served which including eggs, yogurt, hash browns, and mixed fruit. I also had a variety of snacks throughout the flight including more coffee, sweet samplers, and a small cake. On board the Boeing 777-200, each seat has direct aisle access. For solo travelers I recommend picking a window seat. Each seat also fully reclines into a flat bed and comes with a nice amenity kit. The seat is comfortable and comes with ample amount of storage. Staff was wonderful and made the experience even better!

Flying from Florence to Atlanta with a connection in Paris, our flight was delayed for reasons that…read moreinvolved a water pump and some weather that we never saw, causing us to miss our connecting flight. Every time this has happened in the past, crew members always tell everyone that when they arrive late not too worry, they will be greeted by staff members who will direct them to their next flight or help them book another flight. The person we spoke to upon arrival was completely clueless and knew nothing about our flight. We might have made it, if given the bare minimum of direction. Instead, we were stuck in a miserable line for people who had missed their flights. After an hour when we were at the front of the line, we were told that they were closing and we would have to go across the airport to a much larger line. These Air France employees in the M terminal of Charles De Gaulle, in front of gate M-41, who handled rebooking in the afternoon of July 17, couldn't have been anymore rude to everyone. I understand that this is a crummy job, but there is no excuse for treating people as if you could care less about them. After waiting in the other line, we were rebooked for the next day and given a hotel voucher. But there were others who didn't fare so well. An older couple who missed the same flight as us never made it to this desk and we wondered what happened to them. A group of people that were booked as we were, for a connecting flight with Delta, though different flights, were told to wait to the side. Then after an hour, they were told that the Delta employee had left and they were on their own and could return the next morning when the employee showed up. I have no idea why they were handled this way flying Air France and then Delta, as we were. Both companies are partners. These people were stuck overnight in the airport with zero information. Overall, I would say that Air France's handling of missed connections is utterly rotten and for the elderly and for parents with small children, it would probably be a good idea to avoid Air France altogether.

We flew with Air France from Paris CDG to LAX. I was pleased with our experience in the 10 and a…read morehalf hour flight, which turned out to be a smooth journey back home with care. Service was okay and some were misses. There's a lady who assisted us on our side of the plane she was friendly and attentive. However, her colleague did seemed a little rushy at times, and what caught my attention is when one of the flight attendants was going too fast down the aisle with a box of ice cream bars to offer, but did not take his time to go row by row. It was like "hurry snatch one if you can". My other gripe is when I asked one of the flight crew members in one of the cabins if I can request a small yogurt bottle for my son, they told me that they didn't have any available, but they will be passing them out during the next round of meals. I took the impression that, you can't have one now but you will get it later? They did offer them earlier and I guess they weren't willing to fulfill favors. Anyways, I did over look this issue easily, when the entire time they did offer a good amount of treats in between meals. Speaking of meals they tasted okay, normally you don't get the best out of flight meals, but Air France gets me full when lunch and dinner are served. Your tray consists of the main entree, side and a dessert. Some of the food items you do get in repeat though. For a 10 plus hour flight, a complete meal does satisfy for the long duration. For the amenities you do get some movies, tv shows, video games and flight music options in front of you, by using the flight entertainment. The touch screen functions are slow and at times unresponsive. I do like their real time camera view from the airplanes tail, bottom view especially when your going in low altitudes and the plane's nose view. I don't mind flying with Air France again but hopefully, next time it can better than a three star service.

It probably had to do with the fact that I had the amazing opportunity too ride first class. Despite this fact, the service flying in Economy was just as exceptional. The flight crew was so courteous and friendly. They would get you anything you needed. However this review is for my flight from Paris. Our flight crew lead by Mark was outstanding. They left no details untouched. I felt more like I was in a 5 star hotel or restaurant then an airplane. Upon arrival there was bedding and a pillow from Saks 5th Avenue, since our seats can convert into beds. Then we were offered beverages once we were comfy along with a box of chocolates and a special pamper box honoring the 747, that was ours to keep. The service didn't end there. Throughout the flight we were offered snacks, additional drinks. A full four course meal as well as wine, champagne or alcoholic beverage of our choosing. The ice cream sundae cart for dessert was my favorite. An hour before departure we were served an additional smaller meal. All of this was truly a treat. I hope i get an opportunity to experience this again but if not I loved the opportunity! Happy travels!

Depending who you get at the counter, of course, they can be nice or not nice about it. They do ticket each piece of your carry-on. The flight itself was really good. The plane was new, there were screens on the seat in front, the movie options were okay, and staff was friendly. I sat in economy and I paid extra for the carry-on bags and food on the plane. The food was decent. It's American food with one meal and one pathetic snack. For the meal you have an option of chicken or beef. Snack was a small loaf with a slab of cheese in it. Not great. They do come by once for coffee/tea as well. I'd fly Norwegian again if the price is right.

Very spacious seat, with good entertainment console (movies, games & music). If you need a hearing bud, the FA will happily give you a Norwegian bud set. I spent hours on the trivia games. Note: The in-flight catering service at CDG is much better than our outbound flight a few weeks back from LAX. The cabin crew in premium was attentive and efficient. At mealtime, the dinner and breakfast items were tasty. Beer and wine flows if you wish. There is a charge for hard liquor, even in the premium cabin. You order drinks & snacks via your personal entertainment console screen. Within approx. ten minutes, your order arrives at your seat. Checking in bags at the Norwegian counter for premium class flyers is a no-hassle breeze at both LAX and CDG. You get two free check in bags in premium class. Two downsides during our air journey to our destination. Both Norwegian flights to CDG & LAX were delayed. With no connecting flights to catch, this was not a miserable delay for us. Fortunately, we were on a leisure vacation. The second downside: The boarding area at the CDG gate was cramped, hot, and disorderly; Fortunately, we were able to use one of the comfortable airline lounges while flying in premium cabin. For just a bit more than economy fare, try Norwegian's premium cabin. In my opinion, Norwegian's premium cabin service tops Virgin Atlantic's premium economy product. The premium seat on Norwegian is so much more comfortable. The next flight to Europe will be on Norwegian Air Shuttle.
