The korean food was quite good (especially the beef and soups). However it gets quite loud on friday nights due to the karaoke singing.

I ate here every lunch for a week, and sampled a broad range of items and found it all good. The Kimchi Jjigae is punchy, spicy and enriched with belly pork and pork broth. Loaded with flavorful kimchi and presented with a bowl of rice and 3 banchan, this was a must have staple for me at every meal. The pork bulgolgi was tasty, spicy, and fatty--perfect for stirring into rice and more banchan. The djajiangmein was a surprisingly pleasing bowl of spring udon like noodles, earthy slightly sweet black bean paste, and little morsels of pork to give depth and rounded mouth feel. Bibimbap was accompanied by fiery Gochujang sauce and loads of banchan vegetables. Service is friendly and quick--walk all the way in to the end of the bar to place your orders for lunch. Reservations necessary at night--especially on the weekends! They are fully booked for good reason.

I had a chicken dish with yellow curry and various veggies, it came with a side of white rice. They claim it's one of the spicy dishes - I'd argue that, but, I'm from Oakland, California, where there are 10 spicy Asian restaurants within a block radius of my house - and we're spoiled. So when I come to Northern Europe and get "spicy" food it's often not spicy. But, it was warm and tasty and the restaurant had great music playing. I enjoyed it - I just needed something quick and warming in between work. Thanks Bok for delivering it! (And yes, too many locations in one area..very confusing :) )

Also, Bok is an eclectic Asian restaurant, serving sushi, Thai food, and some hints of Chinese food. I played it safe and went with the fried tofu with veggies. Honestly, the fried tofu and veggies weren't bad at all. Delicate pieces of fried tofu with fresh assorted veggies and a light gravy. I had a bite of my colleague's fried chicken and it was enjoyable as well. It came with a side of a sweet sauce, but I didn't use any of the sweet sauce. If you're craving for Asian food in Hamburg, Bok isn't a bad choice.

It…read morewas a thursday night and I was afraid of walking around the downtown area and being turned away from every bar just because we didn't have a reservation because...you need a reservation for everything in Hamburg :( My friend suggested a snack place if we didn't mind going over to altona and so we all hopped on the U bahn and took a short bus ride over to Asia Imbiss. Definitely a korean hole in the wall type vibe when you get here which is awesome. The place is not super big but looks like a lot of locals come here to get their korean food fix. The menu is asian with thai dishes and also korean dishes on a smaller menu. Our friend took the lead and ordered us the korean fried chicken and an order of Jajangmyeon (korean black bean noodles). Then we grabbed a couple of bottles of Soju from the fridge and a can of mango and lychee juice to mix with the soju. If you come here and get one thing, get the korean fried chicken! It's soooooo good! I miss good korean fried chicken and this hits the spot! The spicy sauce is not too spicy but has great flavor to it! The Black bean noodles were really tasty as well! It's a big portion so you can definitely share with 2 or 3 people. Wash it all down with a couple of beers or our ghetto mixed soju cocktails and you'll have a great night! Mixing the soju with lychee juice tasted better than the mango. Great homey atmosphere, cheap prices and great tasting food! I will be back soon for more chicken for sure!

This place is a rather hidden and shady place, but a secret tip for the people who have been there! Don't go there for the usual Chinese dishes, unless you feel like it, but for the original Korean dishes, seperately written on a small menu. The most popular dish is Korean Fried Chicken, most Koreans go there to get their hands on the chicken. There are other Korean dishes, but they don't stand out like in Korea (if you have been in Korea, you know what I'm talking about). Maybe try the BBQ with Pork Belly (Samgyeopsal), seems good too! A few side dishes are served as well, and Korean alcohol is available (Soju, Makkgeoli). Overall great taste, a place we will go to often!!! Service: Don't expect too much service as it is an older couple only. Come here for the food, and don't take you date here ;)
