There's also a huge, public parking lot on site which is free to use. I emailed the Little Red Store to see if the space was available for use during my desired date and I could not have been connected with a kinder person. The Little Red Store staff member or maybe it was a volunteer - was prompt, helpful and would run down answers to questions I had if they didn't know the answer off the top of their head. The reservation process was straightforward and we got confirmation very fast. Leading up to the event, the staff answered any questions I had via email quickly. We decided on the room set about one week before the event date and then I was connected directly with the volunteer who was going to open up the space for us day of. We arrived about 15 minutes before our scheduled rental time and were able to get into the space and start setting up then which was hugely helpful because we only rented the space for three hours (that included time for set up and clean up). A few rules we had to follow- no flames inside the store so we used battery operated candles for the cake. We couldn't tape or tack anything to the walls. We brought a portable clothes rack that we decorated and used as a backdrop. We also had to take all garbage with us after the event. I want to stress the fact that this space is small. They allow a capacity of about 27 people which is what we had attend. I would recommend this venue if you had 20 or less guests otherwise you'll be a bit crammed. And if you're having a lot of kids attend (we didn't) it might not be the best venue for you as it's a historical site. A quick note on included amenities - there's a bathroom inside. Tables and chairs are included in your rental. We also brought a little folding table for gifts. The kitchenette is a great, compact size. There is no stove/oven or coffee machine/maker. There is a fridge and a small counter space for any dish prep you might have to do. There' also a sink. Overall we're so happy with this space and how well it worked for our daughter's 2nd birthday. It was affordable. Our guests enjoyed the location and uniqueness of the venue, and everyone we worked with at the Little Red Store was pleasant and accommodating. So glad they allow the public to rent this space!

I suffer from tinnitus, and this has likely caused permanent worsening of my condition. I immediately emailed detailed accounts of the incident to: Assistant Chief of Operations Ryan Stanwood - Wauwatosa Fire Department (sent two separate emails -- no reply to either) Fire Chief Jim Case - Wauwatosa Fire Department (no reply) Barbara Kadrich - Administrative Assistant Chief, Wauwatosa Fire Department (refuses to correspond in writing) Danielle Long - Chairwoman, Wauwatosa Fire & Police Commission (no reply) Jennifer Tate - Wauwatosa City Attorney (sent two separate emails -- no reply to either) Mayor Dennis McBride - City of Wauwatosa (no reply) Not one of them responded -- not even a basic acknowledgment. This is disgraceful from a taxpayer-funded department and city government. My emails were sent on August 1 -- over a week before the August 10 flood -- so "emergency workload" is not an excuse for ignoring legitimate public safety concerns. The only person who acted with professionalism was Cody Xiong - Community Outreach, Wauwatosa Fire Department, who promptly answered emails, returned calls, and treated my concern with respect. Cody is the sole bright spot in an otherwise unresponsive and disappointing leadership chain. If this is how Wauwatosa's leadership handles reports of dangerous conduct and potential permanent injury, the public should take note. Accountability and basic courtesy are non-negotiable when your salary is paid by taxpayers.

Well, we ended up with a house in Tosa and I've never regretted it for a second. Why live here? *Property taxes are lower than most communities in Milwaukee county, because Tosa has a robust business tax base (see more on that below). *Even though we have lower taxes, we get great services. Snow removal is prompt, as is garbage pick up. We've never had an emergency reason to call the police but we have contacted them on occasion ("Why are two teenagers prying up the manhole in the middle of our street?") and they've been quick to respond and friendly to boot. *Tosa has done an absolutely AMAZING job of attracting new businesses. Case in point - North Ave which is hopping with new bars, restaurants and retail. So is the Village. There's a monster redevelopment of unused land near I45 and Burleigh which includes shopping and retail. All of these things keep my property taxes low and my home value high. *Even though Tosa is a suburb, it feels like the city. I have sidewalks, I know my neighbors and I can walk to all the fun stuff on North or down to the Village. It's a generally safe place to live and the schools are highly rated. I'll agree that it's nowhere near as cool as Bay View or Riverwest, but let's face it - I'm old and belong in the suburbs anyway.

Yelp doesn't care unless someone calls the Water tower to verify the correction. Um...Hello this is a landmark and no telephones are at this business location. Get a effing clue. This water tower is a landmark like a piece of art. Our family lived 40 miles north and enjoyed shopping at Mayfair mall. A land mark to look out for either the Hampton exit to the north or North ave on the south side. When we were kids we use to call it a spaceship. I guess other families did too. It was freshly painted 4 years ago. It's very shiny and I'm guessing it's easier to keep clean. Addition it's almost impossible to not catch a red light either on the south bound hwy 45 ramp or going underneath the over pass. So I usually get stopped twice looking for the light to cycle. So this is definitely one of the safest drive by checkins if there is such an animal.

He purchased tickets well in advance. Staff was pleasant as they checked our tickets and took our concession order. Popcorn was yummy and who doesn't like a Coke Freestyle Machine? Our movie played in the "IMAX" which I think is just the largest screen available at the theater, it's definitely not an IMAX. I thought the picture was great, my husband felt it was a tad blurry. Sound was loud and enjoyable compared to home viewing. My rating falls due to the outdatedness of the theater itself. In the bathroom there were sinks and papertowel/soap dispensers not operational. The seats are "old school" as my husband put it... Plan to be sitting upright for however long your movie plus the pre movie ads/trailers go on. I guess I'm privileged in that I am now use to "dream lounger" seats and ample walkway space in each aisle. We sat in the middle section of the row, and lets just say if you have to get up to pee, every person will need to get up to accommodate. The floor was sticky. My husbands seat cushion was "broken" so he was particularly uncomfortable. Overall, AMC, please update this theater! It could use some TLC and I think with that, the location would have a resurgence of popularity as it is the only AMC in the area.

The theater itself, though, could really use some updates -- it feels a bit bare bones with little decoration or ambiance, especially compared to other nearby theaters. As for the movie, we expected a fun cartoon spin on Frankenstein, but it ended up being pretty slow and not very engaging for older kids or adults. Still, it was a free event and a nice family night out, so we made the most of it.
