I may have one or two on my husband's phone that I still need to pull. Now, let me tell you...this place is amazing! And it was even better because our server was phenomenal. He gave us just the right amount of attention without us ever having to ask twice--or even once! He kept our drinks refilled and checked in to see if we needed anything else. That kind of service makes such a difference. The interior is unique and really cool. I especially loved the idea of hanging a full-size motorcycle from the ceiling. Definitely a great conversation piece! We had a party of five, and all five of us ordered something different, ranging from a chicken salad to tacos, hush puppies, and, of course, my Chopped Brisket Sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. I'm already drooling again just thinking about it! The brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of seasoning. But let me talk about those sweet potato fries... THE BEST sweet potato fries I've had so far! They were crispy on the outside and actually tasted like sweet potatoes. I've had sweet potato fries at other restaurants that were soggy and tasted more like frying oil than sweet potato. These were completely different--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I 100% recommend them! So, if you're in the Charlotte area, do yourself a favor and stop by Mac's Speed Shop at 2414 Sandy Porter Road. Great food, great atmosphere, and phenomenal service. I would definitely go back!

I think of them more as a burger or southern food place but they do pay special attention to the art of the que. Very few places smoke wings and most of the ones that do, the wings are amazing. Macs is no exception. If you're a wing person who likes layers of flavor with your wings then you won't be disappointed here. Pairs perfectly with crispy beer battered fries. The deluxe devils if they're still on the menu are really good...deviled eggs with jalapeños on top! I like their tacos as well. They have a brisket taco that really smacks and the shrimp taco hits hard too. Service is consistently good. As far as ambiance, it doesn't really get any points for style....nothing really says "hey we're a speed shop" like you'd see at Quaker Stake or other speed themed bars and restaurants. It's somewhat generic but that's okay. This is one of my go to places when I'm visiting Fayettenam.

If I had to critique anything, perhaps the cabbage was a hair too salty and veered a tad bit too crisp. However, the company, & the service was top tier. Lastly, the Caribbean diaspora is wonderful. I came in search of the cuisine of Trinidad and Tobago, a distinctive mix of Caribbean and Indian flavors. It was a pure takeout with not much to offer inside and it was a reasonably nice day. I ordered a veggie combo, not being entirely clear on what it would amount to. I ended up with a whole lot of rice and a couple of premade dishes, one with chickpeas, and one with potatoes. I was not impressed with his combination and would have preferred more variety and more vegetables which are common to the cuisine. I didn't want to order anything additional because that was already a ton of carbs. The flavors, including a house, hot sauce, were distinctive. If I came back, I would place a more customized order as they did have a wide variety of vegetarian/vegan options. It would be nice to see them in a more downtown space, as there is some need for variety in this area.

There is a place for your dog to roam, your kids to play, and plenty of seating both covered and uncovered as well as space to eat inside the brewery. We got the Napkins burger with the brussel sprouts being the star. The brussels come with pineapple thai chili sauce, but we liked the brussels without it and opted to use the delicious sauce as a dip for our french fries. The burger was tasty, but nothing out of this world. It was cooked perfectly and I liked the Napkins famous sauce on it. The only thing was that the burger kept slipping out of the bun and it was very messy to eat as we kept putting the burger back together. The shawarma with chicken thigh was delicious. I would pair this with the brussels next time and you'd have a winning combination. The fries were good too, but the brussels are the winning side choice. Glad we stopped by on our road trip for a satisfying and filling lunch. It's worth the stop and everything tastes fresh and is well worth the price. The brewery is not Napkins, but the staff inside behind the bar was super helpful and more than happy to let my husband try the beers before making his choice. The girl taking our order at Napkins was also very pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend.

I ordered a burger last tuesday and had to send it back because they left off the cheese AND basically every topping I ordered. Then I waited almost an entire hour for my food to come back, just for the cheese to still not even be melted and the toppings to be cold. Like, what exactly was being done with my food for an hour?? On top of that, the cooks were loud enough that you could hear them from across the entire building. I could hear them talking badly about employees and carrying on in the kitchen like there weren't customers sitting right there. Extremely unprofessional and honestly uncomfortable to sit through. Then, after all of that, I was told they REFUSED to make my queso fries because it was two hours before closing. Excuse me?? If you're open and the item is on the menu, why are you refusing to make it? That makes absolutely no sense. This one manager I spoke with didn't seem to care whatsoever, which honestly made the situation even more frustrating. Thankfully, when I called the next day manager named tonya (not 100% positive) actually stepped in, corrected the problem, and helped me get the situation resolved. Thank you, Tonya, because without you I genuinely don't know what would've happened. The kitchen staff needs to seriously learn some professionalism, accountability, and how to actually do their jobs. Customers should not have to deal with cold toppings, unmelted cheese, hour-long waits, employees being loud and talking about other employees, and then being refused food because the cooks don't feel like making it two hours before closing. Absolutely unacceptable. I will not be returning.
