That's the best possible word for my experiences! The impeccable experience was from beginning to end a delight. Beautifully executed to elevate the circumstances of its students from not just a cooking school.. but a well rounded culinary, food safety curriculum aiming to guide participants even through the hiring process. The menu takes into consideration a broad palate to appeal to many! Diabetic friendly options abound which many of us need! Nothing is by accident! While I would like to have tried several entrees I opted for a tuna Relleno trio. Now that combination of flavors and textures was a surprise. It was good nutrition. I realized it was actually a dish I could replicate at home perhaps including a few additions like finely diced bell peppers in red yellow or Orange to the filling! Perhaps some red onion as well atop the melted cheese draped over each Relleno. Not a typical regional Relleno but a healthy one indeed! Tiramisu..... I craved an espresso on the side to quickly dunk it in! Still frozen.... Delicious but here again not at all typical! I've got to hand it to the Candie and Amanda and all others who might be considered as contributors to the creation of this Culinary and Community Gem! Being here elevated my soul! It is located next to the little Caesar's pizza right when you enter Somerton. Everything displayed looks delicious, mainly because I love sweets. We were sooo excited to try it. Pros: They give you a punch card, you get something free on your 10th purchase. The display of candy looks insanely delish. Raspados were good I called & a young girl did give me directions Cons: We were the only ones in there & we ordered 4 things & it literrally took them about 20 min to make. We ordered 2 ice creams & 2 raspados. The ice cream was already made but it still took forever. We were not acknowledged at all for the first 5 min. I have no idea why. They don't have a real menu. You are just suppose to know what you want. They have a few things posted but not alot. I think it like 9 things they sell. Which includes 3 flavor of raspados & entumido & banana split & a few other things. There are no pictures of anything. Just use your imagination I guess... when you order. No one speaks english. Overall Experience: We walked in & basically ignored for the first 5 min. & then the young girl approached us. We ordered just the basic because the menu was almost non existent. We waited a long time before we got our orders. As soon as you order they go make your order & leave the cashier area abandoned. There is only 2 people working there & they are really trying but I don't believe they know how to efficiently run a business. I almost wanted to jump in & help. I'm getting giblets there this year to make dressing separately from turkey. Empty nesters don't need a whole turkey but do need dressing! They stated they will call and notify when the giblets are available. That's service! Highly recommend. My brother had some hunted game dressed here. He highly recommended them to me.
