Totally avoid at all costs !! I took my car in for a coolant leak inspection where I already knew what the fault could be due to a previous inspection at a different garage but they were fully booked and it was convenient to take it to Malvern instead . I was advised previously that it would be a simple hose to be replaced ,parts and labour £120 ,I took it to Malvern and they quated me £500 as it could take 5 hours or so of Labour ,much to my disbelief I questioned it as I had been quoted previusly ,when I challenged that it could be the hose they were unsure ,it almost seemed as they hadn't inspected the car at all ,I was completely appalled by it as I've just took it to a new garage who also told me it's just a hose crack ! All I can say is I hope nobody else uses them as they are blatantly trying to rip people off ! serfice to say they won't be getting my business again ! read more

This garage is owned by the same management as the garage in Howeth Road in Bournemouth and the staff interchange between the 2 branches, hence my review applies to both branches. This car garage makes taking my car in when it has an issue a far less worrying experience. Being female and knowing nothing about cars I am always nervous about being ripped off by garages who see pound signs when a woman appears with an old banger. The guys at Malvern Garage are wonderful at explaining what needs doing in a language I understand and have been known to diagnose faults and offer temporary suggestions when I called them saying something vague like 'I can't start my car in the morning' and they pinpointed the issue within a couple of pertinent (but understandable) questions. Their charges are not cheap, I don't think any garage is but I feel you get an honest price for an honest job and I have never had to take my car back to re-fix any work they have done. read more

I took a wheel hub in at the weekend to have the bearing pushed out and the new one pushed in, to save a bit of time doing the job myself at home. It's a simple job, but they messed up it up and broke the brake drum. The bearing only comes out one way, they had the drum the wrnog way round on the press, so the ebaring was NEVER going to come out that way, and the pressure snapped the drum. Of course, the mechanic spun me a line about it being jammed in and that's why it snapped the drum, and caused by overheating. Straight away I clocked that he'd had it the wrong way up, which was obvious by the way the drum was bent and cracked. I left without questioning it with them, because anyone who is prepared to flat-out lie like that would never be able to reason with someone. Unless it wasn't a lie and he genuinely thought it was stuck. meaning they didn't know what they were doing. Liars or incompetant? The reason I was doing the job at home myself was because I haven't been able to find a decent, honest garage in Bournemouth yet. The new brake drum cost me £50. read more

i found this garage by mistake when my car died a few years back, an i use them all the time now for anything and everything.. its difficult to find a garage you can trust, not only on price, but to fix the car etc properly an professionally. plus, for MOT an service, they are competitive on price, an if your lucky, you may get a reminder with a discount. i cant fault this garage, and i have and will continue to recommend to anyone.. read more

I have used Malvern Garage for over 10 years with both expensive Mercedes Sports cars and family runabouts that are always in for MOTS and servicing. always happy with prompt great value service and will continue using them in the future.If when large problem occurs we will work out best way to source part and fit at far greater savings than main dealers. read more
