I wholeheartedly recommend Chester brook Academy. I also couldn't be happier with the growth and care the children received here. I've seen the curriculum and attention provided at every level of the center, and I've been impressed every step of the way. The kids literally run into the center each day, excited to see their teachers and friends. The staff also does an amazing job preparing the children for Kindergarten. I truly see the staff as an extension of the family. I am so thankful to know them all.

Her teachers are great. They are professional, educated, kind and fair to the children. Her classmates are wonderful. I couldn't believe how FRIENDLY these kids are. Whether they are taught that at Malvern, or if we just got lucky, these kids are adorable. They run up to my daughter when she comes in, and say hello, and smile...I don't know how my daughter feels, but I love seeing all those happy faces. It's a great way to start my day! The program for preschoolers seems to be spot on. THey have a nice combination of structured activities and free time, and they encourage daily outdoor play, as long as its not freezing or sleeting, etc. I LOVE knowing that my daughter gets fresh air nearly every day. It is SO healthy for her and it has a visible positive effect on her demeanor. The directors of the school seem to be doing an incredible job. I was impressed that they knew my name, my daughter's name, and everyone else who came in the door on our first day, and they and the teachers took extra special care of our daughter when she was nervous about us leaving on that first day. They make her and everyone in our family feel welcome, every day. They also do an excellent job of communicating. We get daily reports of what our daughter did in school today, how long she napped and how much lunch she ate (details I did not expect from a bigger program). They send out other emails with upcoming events, reminders, and general information (safety tips, etc) which are wonderful. Our daugher is slow to warm up to changes and new people, so we had readied ourselves for a slow transition to this school (or any new school). And she is still a bit shy about going in to school after a long weekend. But I think the school has brought her out of her shell. After just a couple days at Malvern, we noticed our daughter was doing new, cool things....singing new songs, counting on her fingers, pointing to words on signs and asking what they were. I'm so happy that she gets to go here, and I would warmly recommend this school for any parent in the area considering a new place for their young one.

The only one we seriously considered was the Wayne Early Learning Center. The owner/director is experienced and watchful. We particularly looked at the infant room. The advise is to sign up well before you need childcare as there are usually long wait lists. AT

No compassion showed towards kids, nor the ability to teach kids. They can only handle daycare ready kids. Also, have backup child care, since the school can remove the child with no notice whatsoever.

***DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE**** I don't post things like…read morethis lightly, but I feel a responsibility to share our experience in case it helps another child or family. Chesterbrook Academy - Newtown Square has been the worst childcare experience of my 13 years as a mom. In our experience, the environment was cold, harsh, and deeply unsettling. When children are sad or crying, they are placed in a so-called "cuddle corner" and intentionally ignored--no one is allowed to speak to or comfort them until they stop crying. Teachers follow a strict "no response" approach, meaning kids who are screaming, throwing, or clearly distressed are simply ignored. The level of rudeness, judgment, and lack of warmth from staff has honestly left me bewildered. My child came home crying many days, saying the teachers yelled at them--and I personally witnessed teachers yelling at children right in front of me. Leaving your child in someone else's care is already incredibly hard. You expect compassion, patience, and basic emotional safety. That was not our experience here. I can't speak to other Chesterbrook locations, but Chesterbrook Academy in Newtown Square is one I would strongly urge parents to avoid. If sharing this helps even one child have a safer, more loving experience elsewhere, it's worth it

We have observed our daughter excel in her intellectual, emotional and Christian spiritual growth. Her academic classes are quite challenging and require much homework which has forced her to grow in self learning, taking the initiative to communicate with teachers and take control of doing the extra work to remain in the National Honor Society. Teachers and parents are involved to prepare their students for college and life beyond school. She enjoys the science fairs, public speaking, music recitals, mentoring younger children and team athletics; all of which have helped her to gain self confidence, different passions and a purpose in her life. Her academic accomplishments amazes me (and local friends with children in the public school system). Safety is a priority which is apparent in student mindset, faculty and the physical environment.

Stephanie up in the front is amazing and I have nothing bad to say about her, but she went on maternity leave recently and as soon as she went on maternity leave, the owner Nihti started targeting my son. I spoke with Nihti in the office which is when she told me kids are a number on a clipboard there. She is completely and totally only in this business for the money. And it shows. Her BEST staff Miss Ashley recently left around the same time Stephanie went on maternity leave. Because of their lack of GOOD staff, they will kick your kids out of their school.
