While you're here, remember to order your intermission snack beforehand and to keep an eye on the back of the stage where the orchestra is seated. Cute, small and very imitate setting and depending on which type of play they're doing. It can be round (circle with main stage in the middle) or stadium type (seating in slope). Malmö stadsteater is a gorgeous older building building, it's crammed in between narrow streets in a way that photographing the building itself was next to impossible in order to make the building justice. Entering the building is done through an ally behind "Hipp" bar and restaurant. When here, remember to look up and and take in the whole building. The stage is centered in a domed hall (or was at least for the show Amadeus) with lots of detail and craft that makes the stage itself a world to enter. I Went to see Amadeus (fall '14) and the show was quirky and fun. I loved the costume and use of a circular stage. Tickets are affordable at 100-320SEK/pp.

The second glass was spoiled as well. They suggested we let it breathe. It was undrinkable and I had hoped for a refund or a glass of wine that could be enjoyed. All they could offer was their condolences that we did not care for the spoiled wine. I was told that it was a high acidic wine and that it wasn't for everyone. Why would that be your house wine then?

I've attended sing-alongs and I've just booked a viewing in the Deco theater which I'm very much looking forward to. So yes, if you want cinema to be an event. Something special. Not just something you do to get a riduículusly big screen, then I definitely recommend coming to Spegeln. It's more like going to the cinema the way it used to be. Magical!

I was here with some Swedish friends to watch *slowly shuffling to the corner* one of the old Buffy the vampire slayer sing-a-long episodes. Surprisingly, surprisingly (do I sound too defensive now?) it turned out very OK, the cinema looked very neat and the guy checking the tickets were very nice and professional. In the end we got a free DVD of the last season of Buffy (hell, I don't say no to freebies!) and it was fun experience all in all. It would be great to come here again to test this place one more time. Maybe Buffy-free next time? One can only hope!
