Synergy Endodontics, the specialist, said "root canal treatment is possible." The quote was about $1,000. It seemed like a standard price. However, there were a few things I wasn't happy with, so I went to Los Angeles to see my old dentist and had him look at the tooth scheduled for root canal treatment. The Los Angeles dentist told me, "There's nothing wrong with this tooth." "The crown is a little loose and moving, so there's some inflammation in the gums, but the tooth itself is completely fine." "It will heal quickly once the crown is removed." Two days after the crown was removed, I'm completely pain-free! So... what was that $1,000 quote from Synergy Endodontics? By the way, I later received a bill for $50 for the X-ray. Why did you take an X-ray?

Of course I paid that because discussing a redo, we wouldn't really know if it was an option. Turns out my insurance did pay part and the office sent the refund check right after my insurance processed the claim. Dr Wittenauer was very sensitive to my reactions and made adjustments as he worked. I highly recommend him for root canals and consultations. To find someone willing to do retreat a root canal can be rare. And the decision was totally up to me, I didn't feel pressured one way or the other.

I ended up grabbing an emergency appointment with Dr. Kristina Pham, even though they don't accept my insurance. This freshly chipped tooth clearly needed a crown but Dr Pham hooked me up with a temporary filing that she molded into a new tooth. Very much appreciated her solving this missing tooth issue so I could resume eating M&Ms and having fun with friends for the week until I returned home. Also, she charged a very reasonable amount for this quick fix when I was expecting the worst.

I have 22 crowns that have been replaced several times, I have experience. He removed a crown to replace it, and I swear I did not feel any pain. I think it is because they did not rush the Q-Tip numbing process. So thankful to have found a great office and Dentist, need a few more crowns removed. I opt for just a crown instead and never had any problems. Found another dentist that saw a gap from the crown where bacteria could get in . Palm desert dental center does substandard work .. also, Dr kuncke is nice but so rude to the staff .. he was so rough my jaw was sore for over a week . So many other representable dentist in the Coachella valley.. I would never refer anybody to this dentist office
