The pendant was sent the very next day gift wrapped and in time for our wedding anniversary. I am glad in a way they are situated in London as if they were in Glasgow I would have serious problems resisting some of the pieces. Just great to see independents in High Streets full of blah.

The lovely owner took me patiently through the rings available for my budget which was not that big and explained about the different materials used and the designers that make the jewellery. I ended up getting a Monica Vinader ring which the wife loved as it was a bit different to the kind of jewellery you get on the high street. Looks like I have to go back for Valentines day now !

First of all, they failed to mention that the engraving on my wedding band would vanish (covered in rhodium)! When I asked about this, I was told they know better. This is unacceptable! Perhaps why the lady at the desk told me to never remove my ring from my finger - so that I wouldn't see their mistake! Next, I gave them my favorite ring to repair, as it had bent from being so fragile and thin. The difference was barely noticeable and after wearing it once, once of the diamonds fell out! I do not recommend this place at all. Please beware. They seem like nice enough folks, but I don't recommend the work.

The two floors are filled with various stalls and exploring can keep you warm and dry for hours. There are about 200 antique dealers inside the market, not all were open but the vast majority were doing business and happy to help you. Most of the stalls seemed to sell jewellery and watches. I saw lots of pretty shinny things, but the price tag on some might preclude excess buying. The good thing is that the dealers are willing to make a deal. A watch I had my eye on for a Christmas gift was out of my budget but after a chat at the counter I was able to talk the owner down a bit to something I felt a little more comfortable parting with. If you go to the market the two things you must check out are the sliver shop on the first floor and the lost River Tyburn!! The silver shop has really beautiful pieces and I feel in love with an antique silver compact. As for the River Tyburn I thought it was just a little water for the sake of decoration until I was told it's the River Tyburn. I don't know how true that is but I left believing it was true.

We entered the store and oh my goodness everything was so eye catching - both in terms of designs as well as color palette. If you're a gal (or guy) who loves subdue understated jewelry this isn't the shop for you, as everything is extremely playful and witty. There were multiple items I wanted to purchase; however, the pricepoint is much higher than what I am use to; yet, you can think of it as paying for the design, and the fact that it's handmade by UK individuals. The smaller designs range in the £50 - £150 whereas the really stunning statement pieces around £200-£400. The extremely orange pieces can go up to £500+ I ended up getting a really beautiful blue parrot statement necklace that I'm sure would be a head turner.
