Mark Hancock is the best hands down!…read more I had the most positive experience with Mark Hancock as my attorney. When I found Mr. Hancock I was at my wits end trying to find an attorney that could help me with my situation. He swooped in, took control of the situation and never left me wondering what was next for he always seemed to be one step ahead. I can't say enough good things about my experience and I definitely slept better at night knowing he was handling my case. I highly recommend Mark Hancock and would have him help me again without any hesitation.

Let me tell you a little about Mark Hancock. He is friendly and responsive and kept me informed…read moreand educated about my personal injury case. Consideration was taken to the smallest details, and his enthusiasm for his work is impressive. He is readily available to get ahold of and talk to. I felt my matter was fully embraced and comprehended. He was effectively aggressive with the opposing parties when necessary which is something I find personally difficult to do, and he does this all the while remaining polite and professional. I have been in the legal profession for over 40 years and have worked in the court system over 30 years. I sustained an injury which affected my career. A winning strategy was developed. I was so impressed. I felt so relieved that I did not have to take the lead in this stressful situation and was always confident that my bases were covered, and that gave me peace of mind. My case was very carefully managed to ensure the defendants received an effective demand letter and exhibit package and thorough Complaint that convincingly laid out the pertinent facts and medical documentation that highlighted my conditions, restrictions and limitations so a fully informed decision could be made by the opposing parties without haste. To top it off Mark smoothed the process over and took care of settling my medical liens. The process of researching the ownership of and maintenance responsibility for the land thoroughly and obtaining the deeds in my case was especially complex. There were lots of parties in my case and Mark had an excellent comprehension of what entity was in what position. I felt everything was covered and under control. He made connections with experts and was able to document the scene and obtain an aerial photograph. We achieved an extremely satisfactory outcome. This is the type of experience you hope to have when working with an attorney. I am definitely recommending Mark Hancock, a great personal injury lawyer, to be your attorney.

Never, have I ever wanted to or felt the need to leave money with an attorney after a consultation…read moreas I did with Attorney Rodriguez. My case, in particular, is complicated and beyond the scope of human imaginings. Consultations/meetings always begin and end with antipathetic aloofness, coupled with confusing, technical lawyer jargon and of course, the request for payment. Attorney Rodriguez is a gift to the profession. Unlike others, she actually listened with human kindness and empathy. I finally felt heard and seen. After which, in blunt, plain terms English, she broke my case down in understandable layman's terms and options. Fact: Walking through her door was/is one of the best decisions I've ever made and most certainly plan to retain her when/if the sh*t hits the fan. I trust her (period)

It is intended to share my honest perspective, as is my right under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Consumer Review Fairness Act (CRFA). Readers should conduct their own research, form their own opinions, and proceed accordingly when choosing legal representation. My overall experience with this attorney did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, I did not achieve the objectives I had hoped for, and my situation worsened during the course of representation. My case took a significant amount of time to get filed, and communication with the attorney was challenging. During our three in-person meetings, no clear goals or deadlines were established. As a result, my family and I faced serious consequences, including the risk of foreclosure on our home, the repossession of my truck, and significant emotional distress. An emergency bankruptcy was filed only after my truck was repossessed, which left me unable to earn income. This, in turn, affected my ability to make Chapter 13 payments, leading to the dismissal of my case despite my efforts to secure employment. I was not notified when my case was closed and only learned about it through a letter from the court and a different attorney who informed me that my mother's home was at risk of being sold by the bank. I found the lack of communication and clarity regarding my case deeply frustrating. In my opinion, the attorney abandoned my case and has not responded to my attempts to seek clarification or answers about the court correspondence I have received. While I acknowledge that my financial difficulties are ultimately my responsibility, I sought this attorney's help in good faith to navigate my circumstances. I had hoped for more proactive communication and exploration of alternative options, such as filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which might have better addressed my situation. My mother also had a case with this attorney, which was similarly discontinued. However, in her case, the attorney made an effort to notify her and connect her with a different attorney. It remains unclear to us why her case was not pursued further. I want to emphasize that my experience with the attorney's paralegals was excellent. Carmen, in particular, went above and beyond to assist me and was consistently available to address my concerns. I greatly appreciate her efforts and professionalism. Based on my experience, I would not work with this attorney again. However, I encourage others to conduct their own research and make their own decisions when selecting legal representation. Edit: To retaliate is to return a harmful action with another harmful one, often in an attempt to get revenge or "even the score". Some examples include throwing a rock after being hit with one, a manager firing an employee for filing a complaint, or a country imposing tariffs after another country imposes them. Writing a fair and honest account of my experience with any business is a Constitutionally protected right. The implication that my review is retaliation in and of itself suggests that harm was somehow done to me first, so what exactly is being said here? It is categorically false and I can assure that my fair and honest review was posted simply to share my experiences with this attorney as many other people have done. It's not irregular or retaliatory for customers to review their experiences. It's part of a healthy open market system that promotes transparency and helps others make informed decisions. The personal attacks posted in response to my review are shocking and unacceptable. Revealing private information about my case is highly concerning because it violates the duty of confidentiality. This duty is protected by strict professional rules. The narrative presented in the comments is missing context and for the most part untrue.

He…read moreclearly explained my legal options, came across as warm and earnest, and made me feel comfortable retaining the firm. Unfortunately, once my case began, serious organizational and communication issues emerged. Although the complaint itself was well written, it was filed with the wrong court and contained an incorrect address. I was never informed of this mistake and had to discover it on my own. Correcting the issue required a change of venue, which cost me significant time and money for an error that was not mine. Communication throughout the case was inconsistent. At times, staff were responsive and reassuring; at other times, follow-up emails went unanswered and seemed to fall through the cracks. When I informed the firm that the opposing party was making threatening communications, my concerns did not appear to be taken seriously. After deciding to retain new counsel, I was surprised by how aggressively this firm interacted with my new attorney during the transition. Even more concerning, when my case files were transferred, I was mistakenly sent documents belonging to a different client. This raised serious concerns about their internal controls and confidentiality practices. I was also charged approximately $600 for work the firm claimed had been completed but which was never included in the file transfer. When I requested a refund, I was told the work had been done and that I would need to absorb the cost, despite having to pay my new attorney to redo it. Overall, this firm's lack of organization and efficiency ended up costing me more time, money, and stress than necessary. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend shopping around for other firms, even if they are located outside the Pasadena area.
