Update: This large firm sent me a letter of demand to remove my opinion, review and statement -…read more they demanded I cease and desist.... What I can only interpret to be sharing my personal experience across platforms or to anyone else in the universe, basically... apparently Ms Collins lie was not an intentional misrepresentation.... It was an accident? The letter is very serious, to me, it appears to be a gigantic firm intimidating me over a review on the internet to file a lawsuit and take money from me advantageously during my grieving process - I wonder if they sent letters of demand to every person who wrote a negative review about them to have the bad ones removed? They have no recording of our conversation to support their allegations or assertions. They seem to think they are a compassionate firm even though they sent a letter of demand, which seems to be sent to intimidate and strike fear and panic into someone during the time of their mother passing and dying in hospice. I don't think this is compassionate of them. I also think that they should simply have apologized and amended the misrepresentations and in turn I could amend my review to show that they did the right thing and amended the misleading or false statements, which may have directly caused my mother to lose all support and caregiving from my sister. My mother is in hospice dying and Ms.Collins didn't even ask her client how she is doing... in the referenced email - plus the email screenshot was sent to a family group text and they seem to think they are experts in knowing how each member of our family feels about this, and on unnecessary drama. It appears that they do not feel this letter of demand, directly caused by my reviews which were directly caused by Sasha's email and may directly cause my mother to lose support from her daughter, are not unnecessary chaos and drama in our family - I disagree with them. I feel this attorney, Sasha Collins lied about the facts of our conversation to her client, my sister, and caused unnecessary family drama during a painful probate case a probate of our mothers conservatorship while we are all suffering because our mother is dying and has dementia, extremely painful and traumatic for all of us and she lies to my sister and causes more chaos, family, drama, and problems. It is my opinion that she is not aligned with the values of compassion and integrity that this firm claims to have. I am very disgusted and will be Filing a grievance With the state bar of California, she did not receive a phone call from me on this day. She contacted me at my place of work in return to my phone call. She misrepresented the truth and lied to her client, my sister about our correspondence that took place - perhaps she was intoxicated or something? I'm unsure how she interpreted our conversation so poorly. I think email is so unprofessional and lacking in empathy, kindness, thorough explanation of the options, LegalEASE etc I think this is a horrible correspondence to send a client. How embarrassing for this firm.

We just updated our Living Trust with Stephen Wood. Through all the changes and questions we threw…read moreat him, Stephen very patiently explained and accommodated our needs perfectly. He is a very capable and knowledgeable attorney, great to work with. Six years ago he had helped us create our original Estate Plan, Advanced Healthcare Directives and updated our Special Needs Trust. He explained all the ins and outs and offered sound advice in multiple areas. We learned how beneficiaries of your IRAs, usually your children, can be protected further with a simple built-in trust. We also were encouraged to think through the tax implications for our heirs, and we learned when a retirement trust can be useful. We were very impressed with Stephen's organization and efficiency; he walked us through the next steps, and we felt that all angles were explored and addressed. We liked his personalized services in customizing our estate plan, and we recommend him highly.

Stephen is incredibly knowledgeable and values your time. He is able to quickly distill and absorb…read morecomplex estate situations and provide clear advice--one of those attorneys where you feel like you got more than your money's worth for the billing. He's also incredibly kind and empathetic, which matters when you're paying for an attorney. I also want to note actively working with another office my parents chose in another city on another matter that Stephen is modern, organized, online, and efficient. This matters a great deal to me because you can tell in how he runs his practice that you'll get responsiveness and organized efficiency. Going forward, I'll always look for a lawyer who is this put together and helpful and am moving more business to him.
