I paid the $100 deposit they requested, spent weeks communicating about the hairstyle I wanted, and specifically worked with Amanda, who was supposed to come to my wedding location at 11:00 AM to do my hair and makeup. From the beginning, there were already issues with pricing. I was told over the phone that after my $100 deposit, I would owe around $470. Later, I received an email saying I owed $522 instead. That was not what I had agreed to over the phone, and I already felt like I was being overcharged. I decided not to make a huge issue out of it because this was for my wedding and I just wanted everything to go smoothly. Then came my wedding day. Around 8:00-8:30 AM, only a few hours before Amanda was supposed to arrive, I received a call from the owner telling me Amanda was not coming. I was told she had some type of emergency, but they could not find anyone to replace her that day. After spending weeks planning everything with Amanda and being reassured that everything was taken care of, I was suddenly left with NO hairstylist and makeup artist on the morning of my wedding. I cannot explain how stressful and upsetting it is to wake up on your wedding day and receive a phone call telling you that the person you trusted to do your hair AND makeup is simply not showing up, with no replacement arranged. What made the situation feel even more unprofessional was that I was told they could not really give me much information about what was happening, and Amanda was not available. Regardless of the reason, when someone has a bride booked for her wedding day, there should be some kind of backup plan. Thank God my sister immediately started calling other salons and found Flawless, about 40 minutes away from where I was getting married. They understood that it was an emergency, welcomed me in immediately, and were absolutely amazing. They completely saved the situation for me and treated me so well. I did receive a refund from the original company, and I appreciate that. However, a refund does not take away the stress of being abandoned by your hairstylist and makeup artist just hours before your wedding. Based on my experience, I would NEVER book with this company again, and I especially would not book with Amanda. Between the pricing changing from what I was originally told and then being canceled on the morning of my wedding without a replacement, this was one of the most unprofessional experiences I have ever had. Brides already have enough stress on their wedding day. The last thing anyone should have to worry about is whether their hairstylist and makeup artist is actually going to show up.

She loved the haircut, but unfortunately the color she chose looked so similar to her normal hair color, that she felt pretty disappointed that the highlights didn't look like the photos we had shown Kaya pre-appointment. I got in touch with her shortly after leaving, and she was so kind and understanding and scheduled a complimentary appointment to help get it to what she was hoping for. That time she nailed it and my daughter is thrilled with how the color turned out! We really appreciated Kaya's professionalism and care in making her first experience a success!
