Tons of great locally made goods from some amazing Michigan makers like Glass Action (stained glass jewelry) City Bird (tea towels and such made by the awesome shop in Detroit), Midwest Supply Co (cute mugs and such) and more. I was at the last of the booths when at 5:40 I heard someone come in and the man (Jim?) behind the desk screamed they were closed, the woman wanted to confirm because of the 6 pm closing time, he screamed again and then started cussing at her. I believe he even called her stupid after she left. I couldn't believe it, my jaw dropped. Something so simple made him snap. She called him out for being rude. Which good for her. Mind you there was no announcement made to customers that they were closing earlier and no sign on the door stating so either. I walked out looking for the poor woman. And lo and behold it was my aunt and cousin coming to surprise me. If I had known it was her he was dropping f bombs at, I wouldn't have spent a dime!!!!!!!!!

There's just something about receiving a tangible card in the mail, vs an electronic e-mail that the latter of the two just can't replace. Thankfully, Amy's Hallmark Shop offers some of the best greeting cards in the area. I have always sent Holiday cards to my friends going back to when I was in grade school. Sadly, over the years, the number of stationary and greeting card retail outlets in the community have really dwindled in the last few decades with the coming of the Digital Age we currently live in. Thankfully, Amy's not only has some really great greeting cards, but a wide inventory of items that not only make great stocking stuffers, but would great to give at any time of the year.
