Up and out of town for the weekend to celebrate a wedding, we came across Ciao Bella, located in…read moreHarbor Light Landing. It was such a great find! The atmosphere was welcoming and had a nice, relaxing vibe especially during a gloomy day. I ordered the Farfalle Alfredo, and let me tell you. The pasta was cooked perfectly and had the Alfredo was creamy and flavorful without being too heavy. However, I think there were too many peas in the pasta. But other than that the food was delicious. The workers/servers were great. We were a really big family and they Accommodated to us with warmth and quality service. If I'm ever back in Ohio, I now know where to find authentic and delicious Italian food. Love it here!

Also a lot of cool little shops around and we can't forget the fisg outside in the water. They're huge and you can feed them. Big hit with the kids. Now for the food. Everyone at my table enjoyed what they got. The eggplant was really good. The red sauce is fantastic. It comes with an Alfredo sauced spaghetti, which was different but still good to say the least. The table bread with dipping oil was amazing as well. The meatballs were very flavorful and very filling. Not pictured were the mushroom truffle raviolis. Amazing. Also the Bruchetta was very good. The service was good. They were quick to refill drinks and bread. We will definitely make our way back here when in the area.

That being said, you'll get more authentic Italian food at an Olive Garden than you will here. The bruschetta was just diced tomatoes on little slices of toast and a thick slice of cheese. No olive oil, absolutely no garlic, and no salt. I've never heard of an Italian restaurant that didn't use so much as a clove of garlic. I saw a little fleck of basil here and there, but it was essentially flavorless. I ordered the Alfredo and when it came out it tasted like burnt rubber and was inedible. The house Italian salad dressing tasted like pizza sauce with a lot of vinegar mixed in and was disgusting. Honestly it seemed like whoever put together the menu has never eaten Italian food before. Either that, or their aversion to garlic and flavor in general can only explained by vampirism. That might actually explain the lack of mirrors come to think of it. The service was also lackluster. Our waiter was civil but was visibly irritated when my party of three requested separate checks and even more so when one of us requested a salad without cheese due to an allergy. The atmosphere was nice, but when we mentioned the lack of cell reception we were told they opted for a decorative tin panel ceiling that blocks cell reception. Why that was a choice is unclear but it seems it was done on purpose which seems odd. Probably so people won't be able to Google what Italian food is supposed to taste like. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
