So Germany isn't known for their food but god can this people bake. Must try and the portions are fair for the cost.

Cakes | about 4€ I personally would go for the sweet pies…read more(first row) rather than the high cream cakes the next time. I felt that all cream cakes tasted really blend. I don't know about you but if I am going to devour so many calories I expect to taste more than just cream which has not much taste to it anyway. Unfortunately I couldn't taste much difference between the chocolate cream cake (right), the toffee cream cake (middle) and my blueberry cream cake (left). The pies ( blueberry, chocolate) were good though ;)

Hidden just a minute away from Adenauerplatz U-Bahn station.Frau Behrens Torten gives the classic British teashop and French Cáfe a good run for it's money. Whether you decided to sit inside for the classic teashop atmosphere complete with chandliers or outside for that more Parisienne cafe experience you would be hard pushed to be disappointed. Added charm comes in the form of a pianist tinkling away on the baby grand from 14:30 onwards during the weekends All cakes are baked on site in the large kitchen behind the counter. So you know it's not some defrosted offering provided by a larger manufacturer somewhere in cakeland! On our last visit we had Classic Cheesecake, Plum Pudding Cake and Blueberry Meringue Cake. I washed mine down with a Bella Lula Citronade with Mint and it was very citrusy and minty indeed just as the name suggests! I am a real sucker for Meringue and although I loved mine I have to say out of the three the Plum Pudding Cake was the best... if one had to choose of course! There is always a large selection of cakes to choose from and I am sure they are equally delicious ;) I would have to sacrifice my waistline to submit or more comprehensive report!

A good accompaniment to peppermint tea. I really like the design of the cafe too and the staff was very friendly. Great place to have a pleasant day

Beautiful store, mediocre cheesecake…read more Walking into the store is lovely. It definitely has a picturesque vibe and comfortable feeling. All the cheesecakes are in a display and their decorative qualities are very solid. Lots of good chocolate work across many of them, including glazes, bended chocolate rings, and chocolate crusts. Aesthetic is this place's strongsuit. However, taste sadly is not. We ordered the lemon curd, mango, and passion fruit cheesecakes. The passion fruit was easily the best and was legitimately good. It was tart and bursting with flavor. Must have if you do come here. The lemon curd was boring and mild. I could barely get any lemon flavor. I'm a huge lemon curd fan, so this was especially disappointing. Avoid. The mango was easily the worst. It was even more mild than the lemon and had a strong nutty note since the fruit flavor was nonexistent. Avoid. The cheesecake itself is very airy. Maybe it's an American thing, but our cheesecakes are very dense and rich, which is how they should taste. The cheesecake base layer this place has is almost completely without flavor, so it relies heavily on the toppings. I definitely regret coming here, but maybe it's just that we picked a couple bad ones. The passion fruit gives me hope but I won't be risking it again.
