Light Up is so cool because it has a plethora of lighting options selling every kind of domestic light imaginable, just looking in the window is overwhelming. The range is enormous and versatile. If you are shopping for a gift, it is worth calling in, Lamps make great presents I think, well I would like them anyway, such a good way of creating mood. I recently went into Pearl Lighting to pick up a gift and I couldn't resist a beautiful bankers lamp which was on sale for $77. As for what I was after, well the glass rose shaped lamp shade was on sale for, wait for it, $5. Amazing! These guys also stock interesting knick knacks like reproduced world globes. I've been looking for a world globe for ages and I finally found it. Sure it isn't vintage but it looks it. Guess how much? $60. So great. Highly, highly recommended.

Last time I was in there I saw an amazing kids' table and chair set in the shape of a cartoon-style red-and-white mushroom. It took serious willpower to walk away from that... From cushions to quilts to kitchenwares and frames, you'll be tempted to buy way more than you can fit in your house. If you're renovating, you've got an even better excuse to spend up big. There are always plenty of great doorknobs, light fittings and an eclectic mix of chairs. It's not all antique, though; you'll also spy some beautiful new products like candles and teacups. The prices of the pieces here are in the $500-$1000 mark for a good dining chair, but the quality and comfort means that you're buying an investment piece which will most likely increase in value over time.
