I get the sense they are slowly selling craft beer to the locals, but that it is taking some persuasion. That said if they continue to do it right, they will have no issues at all. Myself, my friend, and my brother all got our own personal pizzas, which the server promptly delivered to us. Folks, these pizzas were incredible. The ingredients were fresh and the serving size was super big, and for only €14 it wasn't too expensive either (particularly considering it's right next to the Gare Saint Jean). At the end the waitress and I chatted for a bit in French, and she was super pleasant and seemed all around happy to be there. Le Terminus was my last meal in Bordeaux and I'm glad it was. If I ever return I will definitely be back.

I agree with another reviewer that the "wow" just didn't appear for most dishes. My husband and I ordered a demi bottle of red wine, which was the perfect size for us, along with the full tasting menu. We explained our dietary preferences, and they were accommodated perfectly. Please refer to my pictures for the courses. I believe there were 2 that I missed (not pictured: duck and bread with curry butter)? My favorites were the artichoke soup and the roasted red pepper passion fruit sorbet. The soup was smoky and delicious! It didn't seem to go extremely well with the daikon and beet (?) crostini, but I really enjoyed the flavor and creaminess. BUT THE SORBET. WOWWWWW this was the best part of the meal for me! Just a spoonful was all it took for me to fall in love. Who knew that roasted red pepper and passion fruit would go together so well?? I can't describe how amazing this was. Everything else was just so-so for me, except for the service, which was stellar. I imagine the menu changes often, and I probably would return to try different courses. Overall, a nice place for a romantic dinner, and pretty good food.

We sat outside for some drinks and then proceeded inside for dinner. You would have thought that with their location they would have a good translated menu, but nope, the English menu was so nonsensical it didn't help much at all. We started asking questions but the waiter told us to wait for someone who speaks English. It was a long wait but after that we got good service, it wasn't rude or anything. I tried the beef tartare, which sadly is one of the worst I've tried. The beef was not hand minced and was rather mushy, and the garlic and seasoning so overpowering I did not enjoy the dish much. My friend got an Alsace pizza - not sure how it's different from good old Italian as I didn't get to try it. My husband got some lamb dish which was actually good. The highlight was our wine. We were debating which one on the menu to get, the waitress offered us a sip of each to try. When she saw I was not too pleased with either, she showed us one off the menu. It happens to be one I've tried and liked in the U.S., where it runs for around $40 at a supermarket. When she told me it's only €30 I happily ordered that (though generally Bordeaux wine is a bargain for visitors). So all in all I'd say 4 stars for service, 3-4 stars for food, depending on what you order.
