Also, because of the hardwood floors, I could hear the guests upstairs walking. Overall, it's a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location, and I'd recommend it and I would stay again.

Upon receiving our bill they charged us $565, although Assistant General Manager Andrea Collin's only claims $500. The headboard was clearly being held up by cheaper plastic wall anchors. They're claiming we must have been too rough, or bouncing on the bed, none of which is truth. $565 for a headboard being remounted is an absurd price, and screams scam as Hilton HHonors policies are location specific. Until Andrea Collin's is out over there I wouldn't stay, because you will probably be charged with some sort of damage, regardless if it's wear and tear

Check-in was fast and simple. I've never experienced this even at the hotels where I'm a regular. Because of the reviews, I thoroughly inspected my room and didn't find any evidence of insects nor bad smells. I even removed the linen to inspect the mattress. My room and the hotel smelled clean. My room was very clean and although it was freezing outside, I couldn't tell because the room was warm without turning on the heater. Instead, I slept with the AC on. The mattress was extremely comfortable, the pillows were just right, and I got the best sleep I've had in months. The curtains are definitely blackout, major plus! The property was very peaceful. The room is equipped with everything you need for a short term or long term stay. The room has two desk, one that rolls so you're free to position yourself wherever you'd like to work, research, or play games etc. There's nothing like a shower with hot water, most have lukewarm warm if that! The only thing I'd change is the position of the tv. I suggest mounting it on the wall or moving the tv and dresser to the center of the wall. I didn't eat breakfast but it smelled and looked good. Everything went right with my stay, and I'll definitely make another reservation here again. Before leaving, I also gave a positive review to the manager, Lacey. The staff is really helpful and allowed me to check in as soon as the room was ready without additional fee. I was also able to upgrade to a king studio suite without additional cost because it was available and I'm a Hilton Honors member. A few times I noticed the team falling behind while the manager watched; however, lately he has been stepping up and trying to help vs. just watching them. One knock on this property are the prices they charge during peak days. Rooms can run $300+ a night but that is probably the norm for the Permian basin.
