We have lived in Bucyrus for a few months and decided to finally try out Main Moon today! The food was fantastic! Both my boyfriend and I's food was better than we expected, we were both blown out of the water! Even received complimentary egg rolls, which was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant was so quaint and clean, very cute! Service was great and quick, I put down a 12:15 pickup time and food was ready by then! The people working the counter we're super sweet too! Definitely a 5/5, I will be back and you should try it out! read more

Found rubber bands in my egg rolls, rice was dyed yellow and had old onions in it. Sweet and sour chicken was SUPER stale. And not to my surprise, I got food poisoning. Overall HORRIBLE experience. read more

Every since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, this restaurant has been carry out only. In fact, you can't even go in to order as it's phone call order only. While I understand this may be necessary for a number of reasons, it's just not always very convenient. As others have said, the quality of food had suffered and it is very "hit-and-miss" on what you might get. So why do folks keep going? It's the only Chinese place in town without driving 15 miles or more for take out & the wife likes their Crab Rangoon. read more

Hair was in egg roll and when I called the establishment to place my order the owner understood me but when I called back to inform him that there was hair in my food he could no longer understand me. Then he proceeded to say that I had the dumplings when clearly I'm calling about a egg roll. I went back to the restaurant and showed him the egg roll and he did nothing to fix it. I give it a three because they are very inconsistent. There are times that we go there and the food is amazing and then there's times we go there and I want my money back. I personally get the general tso's chicken, which is supposed to have some spice to it and unfortunately, more often than not, it doesn't have spice. Partially, I believe, is because they have no competition in town. If we had like a Hong Kong buffet or something similar I'd probably go there instead. read more

Been driving through Bucyrus for years! Craving Chinese and decided to take a chance. Inside, few people were waiting for their takeout orders so I was encouraged. Decided to order the safest thing on the menu! Chinese vegetables with steam rice with the white sauce on the side. Also got the rice soup. The girl albeit super friendly was a little confused by the order with sauce on the side. She however barked the instructions in Chinese to her chef dad who looked equally confused but nodded his head at the request. The portions were huge! The rice looked and tasted decent! Vegetables( Napa cabbage, snow peas, carrots were pretty fresh. Water chestnut taste like the brine it cam in. The sauce was quite tasty! Nice white sauce with a hint of garlic. Not too salty! Not too sweet. Not super thick. Surprising! Added the sauce to the rice and was pretty good. This place is a little better than the typical storefront Chinese franchise. I would stop again. Hit the spot! Not hungry anymore! read more

I am sorry to say I had the worst meal I've ever had at the main Moon usually the service is better than most places in the food is usually excellent but tonight the lobster sauce with shrimp was in a white sauce taste more like a lobster may have been cooked in it then they added carrots and peas to it which is a whole new one on me but I was not happy with it the egg rolls he can taste it off we're usually there's some of the best I ever had I will probably go back a game when my taste buds have recovered and see if they have fixed the problem with the food tasting off but I will not order their shrimp with lobster sauce again but usually they have some of the best Chinese food I've had the beef on a stick is excellent their egg rolls are usually excellent some of the best I've ever tasted tonight was just an off night at guess but that's why they gave them the two star rating read more

My family and I had came from Wisconsin to Ohio for a cousins wedding. We all were in the mood for some Chinese food, so we did some looking in the internet and found this place. The drive there wasn't too bad, the staff were very friendly. I had ordered the Beef Lomein which was really good, along with the sweet and sour chicken. But my dad the general tso's chicken and husband had gotten orange chicken. Both meals were drenched in sauce, and it was the same exact sauce! Nothing was different, no orange flavor at all for the orange chicken, and the sauce for the general tso's was too greasy, no flavor, and just not good at all. Sad to say this is the only Chinese restaurant around, but glad I don't live here. read more

This is one of those places that I would drive by and never consider because of the outward appearance. However, after talking with some folks who raved about the food, I decided to give it a try. I could not have been more wrong about this place - food is always fresh, and hot. I can't even begin to describe how large the portions are. I purchased a Sesame Chicken dinner from this restaurant. The flavor of the chicken was good, but it was crunchier than I remember it being, not moist meat. I cut one open and discovered not meat, but cartilage. A knuckle. I cut open the remaining pieces of meat, and they were all the same, cartilage inside with tiny traces of meat attached. Their Sesame "Chicken" is actually chicken knuckles. I will never eat food from Main Moon again. read more

Well after giving this place two tries, ultimately I think we have a non-winner. I have been here twice, the first time ordering beef with mushrooms and this last time pork egg fu yung, each time with an egg roll. While the beef with mushrooms did offer a copious amount of mushrooms, the beef was tough and not overly tasty. The egg fu yung, while obviously cooked to order, was 100% tasteless, as was the watery gravy they served with it. No amount of soy sauce was able to change the taste. The patties were huge, but found their way to the trash after I suffered through the meal as best I could. The egg rolls, while also made fresh (as evidenced by the huge tray on the counter where the staff was making them, also had little taste and were disappointing. I hear through the grapevine that they have good crab Rangoon. I might give that a try one day and if warranted update my review. For now however, I won't return for any entrees of any sort. The location is small, slightly dingy, but not anything that would give you reason for pause. These type places usually have the best food. Parking was ample and the staff was, well, not overly friendly, but not rude. I'm not exactly sure how many Chinese restaurants are here in Bucyrus. I know of two - this one and the buffet. I will try the buffet again and see which is the lesser of two evils. read more

Never ever again. Very disorganized and dirty. Food was below sub par. In fact I think it made me sick. I can't recommend their food.

I have been going there for years. I enjoy their take out especially the shrimp low mein. The portions are big and the prices are low.

The food was fast and average for a small town Chinese restaurant. However, the service was unexpectedly great and friendly.

I wasn't impressed with this place. Going in the front door the first thing you see is all of these boxes, and their stock. It wasn't even organized. Thrown everywhere. The tables were dirty while the front desk sat and talked on her private phone. Ordered Chicken on the stick and it was raw. Wasn't happy about that. The sauce on my chicken was very sticky. Tasted as if it were heated up from prior day. Then to top it off they didn't have carry out bags. Had to use a smashed flimsy box that was from there stock. read more
