This place is absolutely great came here while I was in town for work and was extremely impressed…read more All of the guys seem to be really personable, it was a great atmosphere, they had a lot of clientele coming in and requesting people, waiting for people or just saying, "I'll take what I can". I remember the shop closed early the day I attended and they had to cut people off at the door. Hair looked amazing! pretty sure I posted a pic on yelp when I checked in. Maybe I'll be back some day :) PS-These dudes had Boston accents (s#*t had me rolling).

One time there was a slip up and Anthony cleaned me up the next day. Good conversation, just a chill place. The hot cream straight edge clean up at the end is worth it alone.

I haven't been in here in a few years. Always got a decent hair cut from anyone in there. However,…read morelike everything, their prices have gone way up. 2018 it was $14 for a haircut and I'd give the guy a $20 and keep the change. Then it went up to $17 not realizing it and felt bad later not giving as good of a tip. Now a days it $23 for a haircut not including tip. The older guy around the corner, who is cheaper, is likely cutting into his business, despite the fact he's only Part Time. Not enough people coming in through the door, apparently that's why he only goes by appt only. Identical during the Panic-demic when you had too do the same. Unfortunately, with this biz model, I don't see how one can maintain the overhead.

Craig's Barber Shop isn't a terrible place, and the haircuts I received were fine, but I never felt…read moreparticularly welcome there. Even after becoming a regular, scheduling appointments, being friendly, and tipping well, the other barbers rarely acknowledged me. Most of the time, nobody said hello when I walked through the door. I would either be directed toward a seat with a head gesture or barely acknowledged at all. Appointment or not, I usually felt like an unexpected walk-in rather than a returning customer. The atmosphere also seemed very selective. The barbers appeared friendly and conversational with certain customers they already knew or preferred, but that same energy wasn't extended to everyone. I understand that barbers naturally build closer relationships with some regulars, but basic acknowledgment still goes a long way. I'm generally friendly, don't give people a hard time, and try to keep a positive attitude when doing business with someone, so repeatedly feeling ignored was uncomfortable. Erin cut my hair during my visits and was always kind, patient, and willing to listen to what I wanted. The cuts could be a little slow, and they seemed somewhat less familiar with curlier hair, but the results were still pretty good and they clearly made an effort. I can't speak to the cutting ability of the other barbers because I never had an appointment with them. The work I received was okay, but the shop's overall customer service and atmosphere could be much more welcoming.

I am now driving to another barbershop to get an actual fade because I have no other option due to how short she cut it in the wrong places

There was also a little boy getting his haircut by Gino. It went smoothly for that little boy. While waiting, my daughter decided to make some friends, because, she isn't afraid of strangers, or being kidnapped. Luckily for me and my wife, the patrons of Matts At the Buzzer aren't known to be breaking the law in broad daylight with 3 other patiently waiting long haired peeps. I ended up befriended a woman with her son. After her son got his haircut, he was more handsome than he came in. I was hoping Gino would have that same effect on me. My turn was up. Gino did his magic. I went home to show my wife my new haircut. We now have two daughters. Thanks Gino and Matt.

Sure I get a quality haircut, but it's the barbers' attitudes here that really make the difference. Every single one of them is a quality cutter but more importantly every one of them is friendly and have a welcoming vibe. Even when it's busy they never seem overwhelmed and take time to say hello and smile. I've seen them handle people with disabilities as well as alternative lifestyles and they welcome everyone here. I like that you can easily make your appointment online. Sadly, they had to add a step where you need a basic account to book because they had so many people no show on them. They are very reasonable if you need to cancel, even at the last minute, but so many chronic offenders were making business hard for them. It's very similar to how restaurants take a cc hold to make a res nowadays.
