I had gotten a call saying my son had hurt his arm. His grandma had to to pick him up immediately bc he couldn't stop crying and my son didn't want anyone to look at his arm bc it hurt so much. They seemed to be agitated throughout it the call with me bc he was crying. Once I took him to CHLA they asked me what happened. apparently he had broken his arm that's why he was in pain and holding his arm :/ which he had to wear a cast for a whole month. My son mentioned too me while he attending the adults would tell him he didn't break his arm. Like seriously? You're going to tell a kindergartner that? Principal didn't even care and teacher he had would BS me. So glad I found a school that actually cares about the students.

I still currently have a sister who goes here but shes due to graduate next year to middle school. Let me start off by saying I don't care how close this school might be by your home. DONT. This school will ruin your child. This school does not care about your child. Their physical or mental health. They don't care. They will let your kid be bullied and not do anything about it but as soon as you bring in the police all of a sudden the principal wants to talk to you to de escalate, that they'll "speak the kids parents" but they never do. They dont report kids to cps who obviously have a horrible home lives. They dont offer therapy (unless you push) to kids who are obviously struggling. And dont let me get started on all the sexual abuse that happens in this school. Little boys groping and grabbing on the little girls. Smacking their butts and trying to do sexual advances. Its horrible how children are behaving like adults. Theres also so many kids who vape at this school and smoke marijauna but they rather take away the kids bags of chips? What is it with that? Youll take away a kids bag of chips or candy but you wont talk and hold kids responsible who bully other kids? The whole school is a joke. The "new" principal (Michelle Morris) is a joke of a principal. Since shes taken over the school has gone downhill. To be honest, I didnt even know she was the principal because shes not present as one. The shame you should feel for having failed thousands of children and continue to do so. I hope this school has restructuring in the future or maybe Ms. Morris will finally get it together because as of right now this is school is scoring the lowest in the area. In math, english, and writing. Has no teachers who wanna work there. And your child will leave this school not only behind on the curriculum but also having to have therapy to help process what they went through at this school.

Also, I don't agree that because one child acts up the ENTIRE class pays for it. My child is always on good behavior and it seems unfair that bad behavior outshines the good. Ms. Curtis is the best principal I've ever known. She is ALWAYS available for ANYTHING you or your child needs. The tuition is reasonable. Parents are encouraged to participate. I missed my sons grad due to this order and no longer have a relationship with him after a track history of being a great dad. Given that I'm personally a survivor of the roits of South Central Los Angeles where I cut my teeth it is interesting to see teachers with no low class thinking or slim experience acting so ruff. Some teachers was cool I even consider leaving my wife for one since she was so flirty and my old lady was acting up but that's another affair. It was a mess. I digressed, the main point is that they didn't want my son on social media with me. I'm use to places like Angeles Mesa where teaching and reaching out to family was something to folks. In closure, its a fact that this school has prejudice towards Hispanic, mixed, and white people. I don't recommend. In fact, the cut my sons hair without asking in a afterschool program. My son has grown so much during his first year at this school. The recognition they give, like…read moreawards for perfect attendance, is very motivating and rewarding for the students. Homework is simple and manageable, which I really appreciate as a parent. Communication with the school is consistent--they send emails regularly and also use a parent app, which makes it easy to stay informed. I would love even more opportunities to connect with teachers, especially to hear about my child's day or week. I've seen a big improvement in my son's reading and writing, and I truly give credit to the teachers for that. The staff is friendly, and both drop-off and pick-up are always smooth and organized. Overall, I am very grateful and satisfied with this school, and I'm looking forward to my daughter starting here as well.

All the teachers have college degrees and are required to have additional training hours every year. The program includes two meals and an afternoon snack.
