Maids & More is the worst cleaning service that I have used in over 30 years with multiple moves in different areas.
The owner, Terri, is a scammer. She came to my home, quoted me 4 hours for two people and when her crew worked 3 hours and 15 minutes, she lied and said that the quote was for 3 - 4 hours. Do you think that for one second I would have agreed to a set price for 3 - 4 hours? There's a big difference with a crew of two and the amount of cleaning that they can get done in an additional hour and there needs to be a big difference in the cost. I was just out of the hospital after 3 weeks with pneumonia and in kidney failure.
Let me start here and know that I am disabled.
The team of Chris and Janet are horrible.
They arrived a half of an hour late.
They went outside twice for cigarette breaks in 3 hours, 15 minutes.
I told Chris that we had spilled dog food behind the table and she told me not to worry about it. She mopped under the table without moving it and after she left I looked behind the table to see the exact same spill still sitting there just as it was.
When asked to dust my TV and dresser, Chris stated that she had to call Terri because Terri didn't tell her that she was to dust in my bedroom so Chris went outside to call Terri.
I watched them and corrected them as they attempted to put my bedding on inside out.
They opened my bedroom window without my permission or knowledge and left it open in 30 degree weather. Six hours later it was below 50 degrees in my bedroom.
They unplugged my bedroom lamp to plug in a vacuum cleaner while there was an outlet in the bathroom and they left the lamp unplugged. As I am disabled I was unable to reach the outlet to plug the lamp back in and went the night and a full day without light in the room.
They also unplugged a lamp in the living room that I was unable to plug back in.
They removed my shower bench from my tub area and did not put it back so I was unable to shower as I can not lift the bench.
Janet did not dust at all in the bathroom leaving the towel racks and fixtures covered in dust and then praised herself for the job she had done on the tiny floor on her hands and knees.
I asked Janet to vacuum the upstairs landing which was covered in lint and dog hair and even though I knew that she had not vacuumed it, she said that she already had. I had been watching her the entire time and she lied to my face. I asked why it was then covered in lint and hair and everything else and Chris said that it was new lint and hair that had accumulated since Janet had vacuumed.
Chris would not change the full vacuum bag because she was afraid of breaking the vacuum.
They did not move one piece of furniture, not even an ottoman, when vacuuming. You could literally see the accumulation of dust along every edge of every piece of furniture in the entire house, both upstairs and downstairs.
Janet then preceded to leave my vacuum cleaner down two flights of stairs as this is a tri-level home. My visiting nurse was kind enough to carry it up for me.
Chris refused to wash the front window telling me twice that the dirt was on the outside. The 'dirt' was the markings of 3 dogs noses and was clearly on the inside.
Here is the most incredulous and disgusting line item; I had asked that both the first floor hallway and the basement floor be mopped. The basement floor had urine on it from a dog who had had an accident while I was in the hospital. Janet preceded to the basement with the mop, no bucket. She them came up the stairs to my hallway with the urine soaked mop and tried to lay it down on my hallway floor. I had to scream to stop her and it was evident that she was still completely unaware of what she was about to do. She then carried the mop out to the car and came back in without it. Then because the weather was calling for snow and sleet, that never came, they decided to leave 45 minutes early because Janet was afraid to drive. I want to know one thing ... whose floor did she use that urine soaked mop on next? I hope that it wasn't yours. read more
