I will start by saying the corporate customer service reps are amazing and prompt with responses. The guys who actually came to do our clean seemed sweet, and nice.
The managers at this Wexford branch suck. It took 3 days of me contacting them to finally get an appointment set up after I submitted an estimate request. When we talked about the payment, I was very clear that I was in the middle of a big move and was unsure which card would be used for my final payment. I was assured that the card # they took to reserve my booking would not be charged, and they would contact me to confirm the final payment.
I was booking a deep clean for an empty 1BD 1BA apartment, COMPLETELY empty. The estimate was $312 for 4.5 hours. I was, again, assured that the adjustment would be made once the job was completed for the actual time used, and the price would be lower. Day of the clean the nice men came around 9:20am, by the time we returned at noon, they were long gone. Approximately 2.5 hours. I was in contact with another manager on 7/21 who told me she would send me an invoice the next day when she completed the hour submission for the job.
Our landlord took photos of several items she was not pleased with the final cleaning. Some things, like behind the major appliances, are not on the MaidPro 49 point checklist. I forwarded the email to the same manager, on 7/21, with the attached photos. I was clear on how several areas, like behind the appliances, were not on the checklist so I understood them not being done. Other areas, like inside of the toilet and the oven (which the oven was an additional item I paid for), were on the 49 point checklist.
Radio silence between forwarding that email, 7/21, and yesterday. Suddenly, my card is charged the FULL $312 FOR HALF OF THE TIME SPENT TO CLEAN. Zero communication. I called their customer service line, and was told they are unable to cancel the charge because only the branch who performed my service has my payment information. Yesterday, on 7/27, they assured me that one of the managers would contact me TODAY about the whole ordeal. It is currently 1:30 and only 2.5 hours remain in their business day. I still have not heard a thing.
TLDR: Don't use the Wexford/Pittsburgh network. The cleaning staff seem nice but it isn't worth the headache with the horrendous poor management. Now I'll be disputing the charge with my bank and blocking any further transactions from this company until someone contacts me with an ACCURATE, UPDATED timecard. Unbelievable. read more
