Went to Mai Wok for lunch on a work day. The service isn't really existent but the prices are good. For €7 you can get a nice big bowl of phô & I was happy to see this at all. Finding pho in Germany is very difficult. My colleagues ordered fried rice & a chicken dish. The food was decent & the location is good. Nasty little place. Told me that "in Germany" they charge 2 euros for a glass of water. When I questioned the bill, nasty man threatened to call the police. I said fine, go ahead. He threw a euro at me, which I took as some sort of atonement, and paid my bill. Which was not much! All this for a euro or two. I would have tipped him otherwise, making up for the amount. One of my favorite dinner places in Freiburg. We come two or three times a month. It's always very busy, and not all tables are comfortable, but it's very good Thai food for a reasonable price. The menu is confusing but you get used to it (be ready to use German, not all the waiters speak English). The drinks (even Coke) are a bit expensive but the food portions are big and delicious. Horrible service, the workers are so mean even when you are treating them nicely, the food is kept in dirty tupperwares, the food taste like dirty fridge and the man charge us 2 € extra in our Food, they should close this place seriously!!!! read more
