Interpersonal violence is harmful once but from multiple people in one visit is reprehensible. Crying in the chair from physical discomfort is to be expected at a dental appointment but not from overt shaming by multiple personnel.

I first had to go in for a pre-screening thing, they made me do a scan of my mouth, did not ask if I wanted it or not. I was then told I had to pay for the exam in order to schedule my actual cleaning, I did not want the scan and they forced me to pay. I scheduled my appointment, received multiple texts and emails confirming the date and time as the appointment got closer. The day of the appointment, I got a new text message stating my appointment time had changed to 4 hours later than originally scheduled. No one contacted me about this and I did not request a time change. I was very confused. Still before the appointment, I received a call from Aspen, they asked if I wanted to change my time from 11pm (which was the new time i did not agree to) to earlier, but still later than my original time. I explained this to them and they had no idea. They lie, and change appointment times without asking you. Months after my appointment, I receive a bill for $140 or so. My insurance should have covered it, and leaving my appointment, I was told I was all set. I call them to figure this out, and the woman on the phone said this was the fee for the exams for new patient, and is part of a new patient package and they will cover it. Then why send me the bill? If this is something included for all new patients, like you said, why bill me? Hoping that people get the bill, and just pay it. This company SCAMS. TERRIBLE.

On Monday night at 10:30 I bit into a refrigerated snickers bar ( not recommended ) and found myself chewing on a dislodged veneer front tooth. I was in a total panic as I have a wedding to attend next weekend and know it takes time to have a new veneer built and matched. The veneer was from many years ago and a different dentist and lab for color match. I called the office at 7:30 the next morning. The receptionist responded with empathy and worked me into an already busy schedule. Dr. Crow not only reattached the veneer but created a composite to fill in the chip. No one can tell which tooth was repaired! The entire staff worked as a team, treated one another and me with respect and shared in my relief with the outcome. As a new patient, I appreciated Dr. Gilchrist taking a few minutes to explain his practice philosophy with me and make sure I had the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a while and was honestly expecting a scolding, but everyone was very focused instead on just moving forward, and I was so relieved from that. Then not too long after...she informed me that all my teeth were rotten and said I needed all my teeth pulled (the fixed teeth also). This is where I should have gotten a 2nd opinion. So she pulls all my teeth and we decided (husband & I) to at least get implants to hold dentures more securely. When she was done with this I had 2 implants close together...I mean right next to each other and two on the left that were also quite close but not as bad as the right. So she fits me with dentures and of course...THEY DON'T FIT!! $50,000 plus wasted and we then found another dentist to fix this. Jennings never returned any of our money, she is very greedy. I have since wondered if I was her first implant patient. WOW...stupid me. Then this other dentist told me I needed a specialist in this case. I was referred to a wonderful dentist in Wausau, WI. The first thing he said when looking at my X-rays was: "Who did this to you"? He was astounded at the bad dentistry that ruined my mouth. After two years of going to a dentist that knew what he was doing, and another $50,000 spent...I finally had normal looking teeth. He really stepped up and saved me from the pathetic work done by Jennings. Sorry kids...can't help the grandkids with college and our nest egg is gone. I repeatedly emailed Jennings but of course she didn't reply. I believe my emails were funneled into garbage or just blocked. She is SUCH a professional!! (sarcasm) Many of the people who heard this story asked if I ever got any money back from Jennings. NOPE! Guess her kids will have plenty of college tuition to spend! BUYER BEWARE! Get a second opinion and avoid Jennings like the plague. I don't know how she was ever given a license to practice anywhere!! So there it is. I hope this helps other people learn something and not to just trust anyone to work on their teeth.
