The school is run according to authentic Montessori principles, and takes its pedagogy very seriously. There is a wonderful sense of peace and tranquility, as the children are lovingly encouraged to become independent learners. The school grounds are beautiful, including a real wildlife pond with a swan family (and from which the occasional frog will visit). Pure magic! When Covid hit, we were reassured that our children were safe and they were. Tender Hearts approach was always to be as pragmatic as possible while abiding the Dept. of Health guidelines. We actually tried to move our children closer to home after my husband and I shifted to working remotely and we ended up right back at Tender Hearts because we learned there is no place like it. Additionally, the staff is extremely communicative, caring, and thoughtful regarding the care of my infant. The space is always tidy and well taken care of.
