Unfortunately I cannot rate the quality of hair services here, since Fara refused to provide me with mine. I've been looking for a new stylist for quite some time and found Fara on Groupon. I was more than ready to make her my regular stylist if I liked to initial service, and I was a little nervous after seeing mixed reviews. Most people stated that Fara does hair beautifully but almost always tried to upcharge them for everything, from toner to the length of their hair. I reached out to Fara and asked many questions and sent pictures regarding whether she could work with my hair based on what I wanted, clearly communicated the length of my hair, and asked several times if she was willing and able to provide me with my highlights. She assured me multiple times that she could, no problem. I drove an hour to my appointment today- Fara took one look at my hair and said that she would only do partial highlights for me, even though I had paid for full highlights. When I told her I had already paid for full highlights, she told me she couldn't/wouldn't do it and did not provide a reason. She let me walk out of the shop after barely saying 10 words to me. She could have had my repeat business for years, but I would never consider returning now. Save your time and take previous client's reviews seriously. You get what you pay for. read more

Souri should never cut hair. I am not sure if she should use a clipper on a goat. She has absolutely no clue or is thinking you are an idiot and have never gotten a hair cut in your life. I have long hair, and she did not touch 80%, not even get a comb in it, forget about a touch up, or trim at least. At least fix/cut the pony tail so the pony tail is not so horrible on the eye, at least after you left bold spots using blade to make disproportionate uneven cuts. I have to wait 3 years to get the length again. Obismal work. Never go, it will be a waste of money and the wai, she only charged my card for doing the worst job, I have ever ever had in my life. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review, and if it was up to me, I wouldn't give it any stars. I can't begin to explain the damage, both physical and mental, that was done to my daughter. We came in on her birthday because all she wanted was a haircut, a jellyfish haircut.. We came in, and we're greeted in a rush. We're taken to wash her hair without any questions asked. She barely looked at the picture we showed her. She barely washed her hair. She didn't put any conditioner in her hair. She didn't brush it out, She didn't measure any layers or part her hair in two. She just started cutting at all different angles. When I asked why, she didn't brush the hair out first ,She said that my daughter's hair would only tangle if she brushed it. I've brushed my daughter hair for 11 years, and it detangles just fine when I brushed it! I had to stop the haircut halfway. Because I saw my daughter was freaking out and having a panic attack because it was not what she wanted. It is now Sunday, and my daughter is terrified of going to get it fixed because she starts to have a panic attack.... I WOULDN'T recommend this salon to anyone.. read more

I was treated extremely unfairly by the owner and the hair stylist I saw today. They were unprofessional (the hair stylist tried to hustle me by increasing her costs 4 different times and even lied at the end of the service about the cost). How a Groupon deal goes from $30 to $120 I don't know, but I feel like a feel like a fool that I paid 3x the price and she got literally everything I asked for wrong. I don't even like the quality of my hair (the length is way too short, color is too dark etc). To be fair, the Blowout is quite nice. The worst issue wasn't the hair, the hair stylist straight up said I was stealing and yelled at me after I confronted her for changing the price and lying. It was mortifying and traumatizing. I genuinely don't feel great about leaving a bad review for small businesses, but I feel ripped off, hustled, humiliated and abused and no paying customer should feel like that. You want to keep long term customers, not hustle them as soon as they get in the chair for the first time, humiliate them and then tell them YOU are the embarassment without ever hearing their side of the story or showing any empathy or concern. Lesson learned: never use a Groupon deal for your hair and never go to a run down salon like this unless you actually Know and trust the stylist. I am open to resolution and communication, but I doubt the owner or stylist will ever see this or care. I really feel like crap and it's a shame I have to resort to a yelp review, but it's the only power I feel since I already paid the full amount ( which I feel was totally unjustified since it was 3x more than the Groupon deal)z read more

The highlights are perfect - she took her time she gave me some great hair tips. Let me just start off by saying this place is racist. I originally came in here just to get my eyebrows threaded and my nails done they were charging me 20$ to thread my brows when normally every location is 5 - 15 bucks.. I got them threaded and the woman "Souri" was so aggressive that she made my eyelids BLEED, I have thick eyebrows and she left them incredibly thin. As for my nails, the worst nail technician I have ever encountered. Yes she is nice and all that but that does not amount to the work she did on my nails. I asked how much she charged for long acrylic set and she stated 45$ and I said okay.. normally acrylic sets are 35 but whatever you know? I really wanted them done.. so we proceeded and were talking to the best of our abilities given that she doesn't speak that much English and well mid session she interrupts and leaves for 10 minutes.. like what the heck. I was on a time budget which I informed her about. She came back from talking with her coworkers and then I asked her if she had any pictures of her work and she said that she had none because she said the photos were ugly so "she had none". After hearing her call her work ugly I felt discouraged. I asked her how much she charged for design and she said an additional 5$ so I was like okay that's fine that's normal.. come to find out the design I want she can't even do it which was a simple V design so to make things easier for her I told her to just do a solid color and then it came out clumpy, discoloured, patchy, and shape was completely distorted. Made my hands look like a kindergartener had painted them. Excuse my eavesdropping but I overheard her and another client speaking and said she would charge her $40 for an acrylic set.. just because they both spoke Persian. Warning!!! to the general public, This is very frustrating to write but I realized I must inform others to use caution if attending this salon. I live for professionalism when it comes to business and got the exact opposite when attending this salon. I set my appointment prior to arrival for immediate service to the time scheduled at 3pm sharp I was there. However, I had to wait; no biggie. But when being serviced by color being thrown on my head with no communication or detailed information on how and what is going on my scalp, I was baffled! I asked "what was put on my scalp" because it burned. She was obviously vague to my question since I appeared stiff & uneasy in my chair but she never told me precisely what it was. This color process took less than 5 mins that's how rushed and apathetic this was. After the poorly added color was distributed all over my head and neck with a bonus burning mystery goo. It didn't stop there I was being switched over to another stylist whom I didn't ask for between the blow-out period. At this point, I was over this place and as soon as I was done, I paid and left! I didn't want my cut or style. A little bit about me & hair: I don't color often and I am extremely hesitant to any harsh Chemicals on my scalp, to my knowledge certain products can cause irreversible damage. I have never written a bad review before I would give zero stars if it was possible, I had a horrible experience. I went in to get a trim and I told Souri to give me front layers (feather bangs) and she was very unprofessional. She started cutting my hair without it being fully brushed. As she was cutting I could see that she had done a bad job, my hair was unsymmetrical, and she used a blow dryer without heat protectant. She told me she was done and it was the fastest, sloppiest haircut I've ever had. I didn't want her to continue cutting my hair so I gave her a thumbs up, paid and went home very upset. I went home to style it and compared the right side of my hair to the left side and it looked very poorly done. I was made fun of at work for how choppy and uneven my hair looked. I came back a day later to let Souri know how I felt about the haircut and she told me that my hair was already bad before. Despite me showing the pieces that were uneven, her and two other stylists were saying that it was my fault because I gave her a thumbs up at the end. But in reality, I didn't want her to keep cutting my hair. After a long argument I recieved my refund, I will be using that to get my hair redone at another salon. I will never come back here again. DONT recommend getting your haircut from this establishment. read more

Don't come here for Hair extensions they over charge for opened bags of hair and lie about how many pieces placed horrible job with putting them on your head very messy can't run your fingers through your hair they will not last longer than 3 days before they begin to fall out. I walked in for color I was sat down right away asked what color I showed a picture and next thing color being plopped on my head like shampoo totally uneven. sat with color for maybe ten min and was sent off for somebody else to wash my Hair. I went on to ask if They could do extensions I was interested in a change and Suri quickly ran and grabbed extensions First hand I was quoted 200$ originally asked how much their hair on the table beside her would be because it was opened bunched together and tangled. She said oh sweetie no more than 200$ don't worry. Awesome! I was then moved again to another chair where her helper starts blow drying my hair and suri is on the other side of my Head adding extensions on different places she can get to as her helper is drying at the same time. I'm just baffled suri was so rough and not light handed it was painful to get bead extensions and I never heard of this in my life, not to mention as I'm being pained I'm also handed the bunched up hair and asked to detangle and hand them To her one by one. The hair was Quickly applied and styled without even asking how I'd like it to Be styled they did really tight curls and sprayed them with hair Spray I never got to check if They were even or if I even liked how they looked. Upon leaving She charged me 430$ for 125 pieces she promised she put on my head. I asked if she was sure it was 125 pieces because it seemed to be much less I separated about 20 pieces and just way to fast to make sense and she adjusted her price to 400$ i painstakingly paid and I went home and counted only 60 pieces. I didn't wash my hair for The first three days as she recommended and after my Shower of gently Washing and conditioning as she also recommended my hair air dried the first two photos pieces of hair were just loosely hanging on my head they came right out no force. So I went back Showed her and she "fixed" them she also told me I was the first person to ever come back so soon that it's never happened to anybody else I also showed her a picture her salons work of extensions and asked why Mine didn't look as neat and full I told her I only counted 60 pieces of hair as she had promised 125 and wasn't right she bickered back fourth among the other ladies and decided she'll fix my hair asking me to drive her to the hair studio on Ventura and balboa so she could purchase more hair. So I kindly drove her to the hair shop. She claims she purchased 26 more pieces of hair for 70$ but wouldn't show me a respect and so we went Back to the salon. She sat me in the chair and applied the new hair we went to purchase it took her less than 15 min to finish and she styled it straight to make Sure it was looking full and even much better it was and I was happy ! Much better. Now I'm Thanking her for fixing it she tells me okay honey just pay me for the hair. I said excuse me ? Why would I pay for the hair. She says nobody works for free and the hair wasn't free. I said I was first quoted 200$ when promised 125 pieces for 430$ and you only put 60 in and now you added 26 more 86 total is way off from 125 and I don't feel I need to pay you more after you lied to me. This lady stated yelling at me in my face told me to get out of Her shop and never come back or she'll call cops on me she screamed that I cheated her and so I kindly left the salon. It's now another just two short days later after she "fixed" my hair and 4 more pieces just falling out of my head. I tried to call her and she would not answer so I text her a photo demanding my money back and now I am blocked. I had To call her from an unknown number to get ahold oh her and once she realized it was me told me fuck you mother fucker go To small claims court and Hung up!!! It's on. Not to mention I sadly Found out my grandma Used to work for This Salon a couple Of Years ago and had many issues with this woman and she also never paid my Grandmother her last check ! Now had I known this before I would of Never went To this salon it's just convenient because the salons a block away from home and grandma has cancer and cannot style hair as She used to. I hope this review saves some of you looking for good hair services this isn't The spot. I deserve a full refund and will do what I need to do. Thank you. I also would rate no stars. At all. I will never return to this beauty salon! I had the worst experience ever! They need to fix their attitude & focus on customer service! I will not recommend this salon to any of my friends or family! **** The owner waxed my face. She spread the wax on my face like it was the end of the world! She was in such a rush that she was done in 2 minutes! She pulled the wax strips so hard that she pulled a chunk of my skin off! She did not apologize nor try to soothe the bleeding. I have done brazillian blowout with Suri four times. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy and I had been flat ironing it for years. My hair was damaged and would NOT grow. I was finally referred here by a friend and it has CHANGED MY LIFE. My hair is beautiful, healthy, STRAIGHT, and it has finally started to grow. I can wash my hair it will dry straight (not wavy). The process takes a few hours: -She washes my hair 3 times. -She put the Brazilian blowout product and massages the hair with it. She uses plenty of product to make sure my hair has great result. -blow dries the hair -finally flat irons The parts of my hair that have been brazilianed stay perfectly straight... I only come every 3 to 4 months becuase my roots that grow out are curly and need maintenance. I highly recommend this place for Brazilian blowout that works and lasts.
