Spices are magical indeed. Like fireworks they amaze our taste buds. Now I love this place for it serves Nando like meal platters. Don't get me wrong I am very fussy about picking and choosing my starters sides mains et al. However I was really impressed with the 9 or so meal platter options. I am willing to let go and let people tell me what to eat as long as the food is great. This place I did let my guard down as the Platters did look magnificent. I was not disappointed.
The Nawabi Raan is the Chef's signature dish and rightly so!! This comprises of slow roasted tender lamb shank served in a medium spiced sauce made from finely chopped onions and peppers, coriander, cardamon, bay leaf and cinnamon sticks.(Served with pilau rice, garlic nan, and tarka daal) Doesn't that sound beautiful...
The traditional favourrites list is long very long. The place will have you coming back for more, oh so many great options to choose from. I didn't pay much attention to them though as they are mostly for the people who have little knowledge about Indian cuisine and wash down the Vindaloos with their beers. Beer drinking culture never ceases to amaze me. How people can drink any form of liquid in copius amounts never mind beer is beyond me, as is the reason behind doing so. Check out the Tandoori clayt oven meal platters instead, Sheek pura murghi for example. What ever you order if there are more than 4 of you make sure you order one of each types of tandoori naans. I could eat keema naans (Naan with filling of spicy mince lamb) for fun...I'd probably get fat, but oh it'll be worth it.
