Elsa is really good company, and clearly knows what she is doing. The salon has welcoming, cool vibe. The keratin blow dry I received is the best I have had. ANd I have tried them all! It made my hair look and feel healthy and shiny, polished and really smooooth. It also lasts and lasts as I have only just gone back and had it redone in March, so it has lasted over 4 months. I will go back to headquarterz and would highly recommend them.

The best and friendliest place in Windsor for a hair cut!…read moreI've been going here for years and always used to take my sons too. Now they're big enough to take themselves! A small but lively shop this place is nearly always busy so be patient. You could always read todays papers or watch the TV (sometimes in Italian) while you wait or join in the many conversations about various topics that take place. Everyone has always got an opinion. Back to business, you always get a decent haircut here and the prices are reasonable too. You nearly always get offered tea or coffee. Very few local people walk buy without sticking their head inside the door to say hi to Louie and the boys, which sometimes involves a racing tip or two. If your in Windsor and want a haircut then I highly recommend Mario's. Closed Sunday and Monday.

To reduce waiting time there's an appointment system in use which is a good idea because you know exactly when you are going to get your hair cut.

I went to Ella's last night for a manicure and had one of…read morethe worst salon experiences of my life: I would never go again. Firstly, the salon is dirty. The nail area cushions are ripped, there are cracks in the furniture and none of the equipment was cleaned before or after it was used on me. Secondly, I had a dreadful experience with my manicure. I asked the technician if they had shellac and she told me they did but I don't think she had a clue what she was talking about. She sighed when I said I wanted my nails filed round not square, and tutted and rolled her eyes when I changed my mind about the colour I wanted, before any colour had been applied. Also, the quality of polish is low: Barry M and a lot of other tired looking, cheap brands. I don't mind a bit of Barry M at home but it's not what I want when I've asked for shellac! The dryer she had looked like a Barbie one and was as effective as a sparrow yawning on my nails. Added to this, she kept messing up the polish, so taking it off and reapplying. After one hour and 20 minutes of this, I said I had to leave and she tried to charge me £20, even though the sign on the wall said a manicure was £8. When I questioned this she said she's used shellac and when I pointed out that she hadn't used shellac but Barry M, suddenly she couldn't understand what I was talking about. I was so upset by the experience I paid, left, and burst into tears as soon as I walked out the door. Dreadful. My manicure began to peel the same night too. One to avoid.
