Parents, Please Read Before Booking!…read more I had an extremely negative experience with this face painting company and feel obligated to warn other parents. First, the pricing is outrageous -- $400 for just two hours -- and despite that, the owner refused to allow me to speak directly with the artist who would be coming into my home and around my children. I was told I wasn't allowed to have any input on the designs (she even selected "Betty Boop" as an option for my seven-year-old son's birthday party -- completely inappropriate and tone-deaf). From the beginning, the owner was disrespectful, condescending, angry, and unprofessional. When I simply asked basic planning questions (such as, "Do you need a table?" "Would you like a chair provided?" "Should I reserve parking for you?"), her associate Val would run back and report to her, causing unnecessary drama. The owner even claimed I wasn't allowed to contact her staff -- which is absurd when you're the paying customer trying to coordinate an event for children. Things escalated to the point where the owner shockingly told me that "God didn't love me" -- a statement I still can't fathom, and which was not only offensive but completely uncalled for. She also exhibited racist behavior and canceled on me last minute after I dared ask questions about the artist. Frankly, I am relieved this happened, as I would never want this kind of energy or person at my child's special day. Parents -- please do not hire this individual. Your child's birthday is a special, joyful, and memorable occasion, and you deserve a kind, professional, and talented artist who respects your family and your wishes. I have since found an amazing artist who has been a dream to work with, and I will update this review with photos to recommend her instead. Bottom line: Save yourself the stress and find someone else. You are the customer, you have every right to ask questions, and you deserve to be treated with respect -- especially when paying such a premium price.

When I decided to do a gender reveal party for my last baby, it was important to me that I would find out what the gender was with my family and friends at the SAME time - which is why I wanted to go with the balloon popping route... Even though it was going to be costly (Melissa quoted me $140), I decided to go with Melissa because she was the only vendor who said that an ivory balloon was doable (all other vendors I asked said they could only do black because the pink or blue confetti/mini balloons inside would be see through). So when I asked Melissa about an ivory balloon and she said that was doable, I trusted her... I even asked her once before I sealed the deal (out of hesitation and my gut from all of the other vendors saying they could only do a black balloon) if the confetti inside would be see-through and she reassured me it wouldn't be. I regret trusting her and should've followed my gut. Melissa comes on the day of my gender reveal party, with the ivory balloon, which is totally see-through. The blue inside couldn't be more obvious. What sucked was as soon as everyone walked through my door, the first comment they made was "we can see the blue inside..." - so to say my gender reveal party, which is supposed to be a special, sweet, and truly once in a lifetime moment was ruined by Melissa and her ignorance.. is an understatement.
