The last two times I was in San Antonio, I couldn't make it work with my schedule. This visit, I made sure to fit it in. Booking was easy. I even had to reschedule, and their user-friendly website let me change my appointment without calling the office--super convenient. When I arrived, the staff was friendly, the check-in process was smooth, and the space was clean and inviting. They also carry a wide selection of skin and body products, so I browsed their services while waiting. Once Monique invited me back, I had a wash and blowout. WOW--my hair came out amazing! From the wash and conditioner to the styling, everything was on point. My hair has body, shine, and zero frizz. It moves like a flag floating in the air. Monique is not only talented but also very personable. My daughter was right--she reminds me so much of my old stylist, Victor. Well worth the wait! I will return the next time I'm in S.A.

Recently, I decided to try some new products on my own and completely destroyed my skin barrier. After two months of using the recommended products and two visits post-bad skin barrier, my skin is looking amazing again! It's all thanks to Desiree. If you're in the area and looking for an esthetician, I highly recommend booking an appointment with her! Thank you, Desiree, for the care you put into your work. :)

Challenges - find one that is not high volume, one that has high sanitary standards, one that uses water (Waterless nail procedures are not for me.), one that has expanded operating hours, etc. When I lived in San Antonio, I used to go to Woodhouse Spa monthly. Then we moved back to Austin and had to start my search all over again. Fortunately, they had a Woodhouse Spa near my house. Then it got bought out by a facial spa. There was one solo Woodhouse Spa I frequented in Cedar Park, TX until it closed its nail spa. Thus, I have been bouncing around but have not found one that meets all my nail needs. Therefore, I decided I will go to Woodhouse when I visit San Antonio 1-2 per month. Today I had a pedicure at Woodhouse after not having a pedicure for about a month. My big toenail split. Fortunately it was the thin top layer, but it scared me a bit. Woodhouse Spa's vibe is serene, peaceful and calm. The spa colors are warm - beige, brown, off white. They offer massages and facials also. When you arrive you check in at the front desk and then you are escorted to a waiting area where they bring you the beverage of your choice. Their dressing room has complimentary toiletries. My pedicure was done well. Look forward to returning...

Like most salons, the eyebrow wax was $12 which is good pricing. The employee was very nice. I have sensitive skin so naturally my skin gets very red and irritated whenever it's waxed -- but my eyebrows were way redder than normal. I don't think the wax they use is for sensitive skin, but it's fine, most places don't. Just something to keep in mind if you have plans later in the day or have sensitive skin like mine.

Before driving out there, I called the front desk to ask about availability for walk-ins and the woman on the phone said it would be a 30 minute wait, however by the time I arrived to the salon, I was almost immediately sat at a booth. He was super friendly, made friendly banter, and made sure I was getting what I wanted the entire time he worked on my nails. The overall process took about 1.5 hours, and my nails came out just the way I had hoped they would!! 20/10 would recommend trying this place out
