I came all the way here from Quesnel because this is supposedly the only place that serves bubble tea. Unfortunately the experience wasn't a pleasant one. Here's what we ordered: 1. Thai Milk Tea: I did like this drink because it tasted creamy. The drink wasn't too sweet even with 100% sweetness. I would order this one again. 2. Roasted Milk Tea: I've had many roasted milk teas from many places and I have to say, this is probably the worst one I've had by far. Not only did the drink taste watery, there wasn't even that much tea flavours to it. I did bring it up to the employees and they kindly made me a new one with a longer brewing time. Ever since the place got sold off, it's not as enjoyable. The tapioca is always over cooked and mushy. The ambiance of the store has turned completely and is no longer nice. The music choice of heavy metal is a very odd choice for a boba cafe. The colourful, club-like lights are a bit too much for my liking.‍ this has gone very downhill. read more

I live 7 hours away but make a point of stopping in every time I'm in town or passing through. The staff at Magel's are super friendly and the bubble tea is amazing! My favourites are the regular milk tea with tapioca pearls and the brown sugar bubble milk! I'm a fan!! read more

Magel's is a great place for Bubble Tea and Waffle Cones. It's great PG is getting more diversity for place to go out and be social. Make sure you go to the NEW location by Spruceland Mall right next to M&M Meats. read more

I tried the matcha green tea smoothie over the weekend. Was SUPER disappointed. I never write reviews about anything - but the disgusting bubble tea I had made it almost mandatory. Not sure why it tasted like water and nothing like matcha. If I can get better matcha at Starbucks, there's a problem. Not only super watery, but there was no taste of sweetness or creaminess. I know what I'm talking about regarding bubble teas. I've had so many in Vancouver, Calgary, and even Asia (specifically Taiwan - where they originated). Super expensive as well. My drink came up to 6.70 (round up and it's $7). Not sure why they charge an extra $.50 for tapioca pearls when they barely add any (like 1 inch of pearls from the bottom). If you're going to charge that much, you should add a reasonable amount in. Bottom line: Won't be going back. For a low quality money-grab place like this - I think they never should have opened. Don't ruin your impression of bubble tea by going to this place. read more
