First off, these two young men started the install on a not so great of a weather day. Didn't get to start till almost noon. They worked non stop til 9:15 that evening till the last screw was finished putting up the last gate. I am very impressed with the quality and the install. We got a huge fence put in. The process was very bad. Poor communication from the office. We never knew when the workers were going to arrive, but, we had to be there to greet them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had to pay 1/2 up front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The workers showed up the evening BEFORE they were scheduled. The next day, they showed up at 11:00. The next day, they showed up at 2:00 PM, with just two people. And, when the workers were done, they had us check their work and we found UGLY gates that had to be redone. We also found fence panels (the parts between the posts) that moved back and forth and some even slid out of the fence. THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE DONE with those conditions. We told them that two gates had to be redone. One of them had a picket/slat that was cut in two, lengthwise, so that it would fit. The other gate had one side with 7 pickets and the other side with 8 pickets. So, they had to get new materials to rebuild those gates -- the next day. I called the office the next day and they said that the materials would be arriving late that morning. And, the workers would arrive after that to complete the gates. Since one of the people that I spoke with, Brandon, described my project as "installed", I was under the impression that except for the gates, Mae Fence thought that all the work was done. There was no project manager with whom we could speak. No project manager on site at any time. This shows that the company does not take an interest in their projects. They have no standards of quality and practice. WE had to make sure that the work was done properly and WE are not the professionals. We never signed off on the work. I thought that someone from the company would come out to go over the work and we would have a chance to give them feedback. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But, the DAY after the workers left - I got a notice from my credit card that Mae Fence had just gone ahead and run our card for the balance of the payment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I called the company to speak with someone that is supposed to care about the reputation of the company. Before anyone picked up, they asked for the address. Probably to do a review of the situation before listening to me. The person that picked up the phone after a bit of a wait - I believe his name was Adam and he seemed to be one of the owners. I tried to explain to him the issues that we had and my review of their work. He didn't care to hear it. He only wanted to defend himself and his company without even hearing anything I said. Ultimately, before I could get this out, Adam hung up on me. Edited: Adam emailed and then called me back to smooth things over and apologize for the lack of communication, poor workmanship and the way that they made us feel like we were not important. Our experience with Mae Fence was a nightmare. It took 5 weeks of emails, phone calls and photos after install day to even get it acceptable. 2 of the 5 appointments were no shows. We waited all day and no one showed up. They will not make an appointment time for service. It's a 9-5 wait window. -they installed damaged material that looked used and sneaked into our yard when we were not home and spray painted it to hide. -they installed a post crooked because they could not see while they were installing at 9:30PM in the dark. -it was hard to communicate because their install crew didn't speak English. There was no one else there to instruct them. On one service call they used a translation app and showed me "they were at my home to clear the buoy" what?? -they left piles of rock and concrete in our yard. -they also dumped concrete/rocks in the community green-space behind our home and our neighbors yard. -they left a large section of fence on our lawn and dumped other leftover pieces and their trash in our neighbors dumpster 2 doors down. - their truck leaked oil and stained our new driveway. - [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mason, the regional rep finally came again on the last service appointment and told us that they wanted to offer $500 off. I said that was ridiculous and he asked what I thought was fair. I said 20% off total of $14,000. He called the office and told my husband they agreed to 20% off[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. -[[HIGHLIGHT]]Then Mae Fence office changed their mind and wouldn't honor the discount Mason offered us. They sent us a bill that had a discount of only 20% of BALANCE[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. -[[HIGHLIGHT]]We paid them in full $11,200 as agreed with Mason. But we just received a threatening voice mail from their very loud lawyer. Telling us if we didn't pay the rest, he was taking us to court and reporting me to the credit bureau.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Is this the experience you are looking for? I have more photos and emails if this isn't enough. Adam, the GM spoke to me on install day and said his goal was to "exceed my expectations". He did, but the wrong direction. We hired Mae Fence in May 2025. The fence was crooked, warped, and poorly built. When we reported the issues immediately, they told us we would have to wait three months until August for repairs. That date came and went with no-shows, and after four missed appointments, the manager finally came. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He admitted there were problems but tried to sell us a $12,000 vinyl fence instead and giving us zero credit for the $10,000 we already paid![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Here we are 5 months later, with no resolution. They finally came out last week to make some repairs but had the wrong size boards. We were told we either had to accept the wrong size boards or wait until they had the correct ones in stock, and they have no idea when that will be. If they had taken care of the issues right away, back in August when they had the same boards in stock we wouldn't be dealing with this now, 5 months later and have a $10,000 fence that is literally falling apart! Additional calls/text to the owner and manager went unanswered. Zero accountability -- avoid Mae Fencing. read more

Mae Fence company is a bad company. Their owner is a cheat and a liar and their staff is unprofessional! They install a cheap fence that started to fall down in less than 2 months and then when approached to fix dozens of issues, they refused so I had to sue this company in small claims court in early 2024 and WON !!
