Dr. Y suggested doing an ultrasound on his spleen to make sure nothing more serious was occurring. Well, he found a mass on his spleen that was potentially bleeding. I was able to get my dog in for emergency surgery the next day and was able to have his spleen removed BEFORE it ruptured. Dr. Y's thoroughness saved my dog from a potential horrendous emergency situation. I've said below, but he truly cares about the animals. The staff at Padonia is extremely incredible and they always give so much love to my boy. ******************* I moved into the area about 6 months ago and was lucky to find Dr. Youssef at Padonia Veterinary Hospital. He's helped me NUMEROUS times. I rescued a kitten who was misdiagnosed at Banfield Hospital and almost passed away (his weight went from 2.2lbs down to 1.2lbs). Dr. Youssef put him on medication and provided guidance that helped me save this little dude. He's now a healthy, happy, 5mo kitten. If it wasn't for Dr. Youssef, I'm sure he wouldn't have made it. In addition, my 150lb dog has been to Padonia multiple times from limping, to thyroid medication refills, to an ulcer on his eye. Padonia is always there for me. They've fit me in last minute on multiple occasions, they've been available to answer my thousand questions, and they've stuck around late to make sure I had medication. I can't speak highly enough about Padonia. I left an incredible vet and was worried I'd never find the same thing again. I was wrong. Padonia has been beyond incredible. The assistants that work here are incredible, they'll love your animals as much as you do and they'll remember you by name. Their prices are some of the fairest that I've seen. Padonia is also the type of vet that will not ask you to do unnecessary procedures or give your animals unnecessary vaccines/medicine. I'd also like to mention that Padonia has some of the fairest prices that I've seen. I highly recommend Padonia Veterinary Hospital to those of us that love our animals more than we can even explain.

Unfortunately, this veterinary clinic like many other others, doesn't offer any type of wellness plans to help with payments like perhaps a senior plan for not only senior owners, but maybe senior pets would be helpful. Another thing that would be helpful is if you're going to prescribe a medication that has to be compounded that you're able to to give resources on the spot to the owner, not just let the owner go off trying to find a compounding pharmacy. Going through chewy is quite difficult because of the Veterinary clinic will not confirm with Chewy over the phone, you have to send the original written prescription to chewy. Can you imagine in this day and age not taking phone calls or texts or emails or something instead of using the USPS, what a ridiculous practice. My poor senior dog needs this medication and is coughing constantly, and this is what this veterinarian gave me? Nothing to help temporarily, but of course wanting to do all kinds of tests after stating "his heart murmur is at a grade3 now, no longer a one". I literally paid what I would pay for myself a Patient First, with x-rays labs and a work up. My daughter recently talked to somebody in Prague, whose cat had open heart surgery for $100, so as you can say healthcare is not only getting bad for us. We're not gonna be able to afford it for our animals either especially with clinics like this one that tend to prey on people, or at least that's how you feel as a senior. Never mind, trying to recoup your money for your overly done, newly decorated office, why not come up with some economic health plans for people in their pets that makes things more affordable that to me would be much more helpful.. especially knowing that you're the one that helped her renovate the office!!!! I'm praying my little buddy can hold out until I get the medication to see if that works but I, again, will be seeking another veterinarian office. But fear not, Harford County is loaded with them!

I only wish I found her sooner. Recently, my 4-yr old cat became suddenly & seriously ill. Dr. Vance & Dr. Morrison, along with the entire staff at Homeward Bound went above & beyond the call of duty to help him. Without their involvement, I don't think he would be with me today. The manner in which they managed my cat's illness & eased my concerns was impressive. Knowing they will continue to monitor his health status gives me peace of mind. Their help & support, along with their compassion, dedication & devotion to their profession, their furry clients and their owners is outstanding. Dr. Vance's unique mobile services make it so easy on me, my precious fur baby & her other clients. I have been a grateful client for more than 5 years. I highly recommend their services.

Dr. Smith and his team may not be the type to give you a lot of "fluff," but that is exactly what I appreciate about them. They are honest, straightforward, and genuinely focused on doing what is best for your pet. They give you the information you need, even when it may not be what you want to hear, and I have always respected that. Last week, I had to say goodbye to my sweet girl due to old age. It was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced, but I will always be grateful to Dr. Smith and his team for the love, compassion, and exceptional care they gave her throughout her life--and especially during her final days. They treated her with dignity and kindness, and that meant more to me than I can put into words. I will continue bringing Rocky and any new puppy additions to Dr. Smith because he is the only veterinarian I completely trust with my fur baby. That level of trust is not something I take lightly. Yes, getting an appointment with Dr. Smith can sometimes be difficult, but honestly, I believe that speaks volumes about how wonderful he is and how many pet parents feel the same way. After more than a decade, I wouldn't want my dogs in anyone else's care. If you're looking for a veterinarian who will be honest with you, truly care about your pet, and treat your animals like family, I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his team.
