Also walking distance to a few local attractions. There are also plenty of transportation options including the ferry boat which drops you off right by the hotel. Second is the architecture and set up of the hotel itself. It actually sits on top of an Orchestra House so the entrance, you have to take an elevator up to the 8th floor which is actually the lobby of the hotel. Large seating area as well as huge glass windows so you it is a gorgeous view from all around. You also get access to the plaza area to actually walk around the edge instead of seeing from inside the hotel lobby. The plaza area is an actual separate tourist attraction that you have to pay to get access too, so that is a perk that comes with your stay. The rooms are nice and modern. Pretty comfortable and very unique. Huge windows, which my room faced the front of the hotel, afforded you great views and the ability to look over "the edge" from inside your room. A smaller window opened up as well. The bathroom and your bed was separated by a glass window which also had a shade. Breakfast here was pretty good, which the standard European spread. Eggs to orders as well as fried, hard boiled and scrambled. Beans, tomatoes, pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns etc. Also the standard cold cut and bread selection which both were good. Also a good greek yogurt selection with fresh fruit. Seating area had high tops and regular table tops. I plan on coming back to visit Hamburg and I definitely want to stay here again.

Location is perfect to see the attractions with enough dining options. Views are spectacular as the viewing deck is even a popular attraction in itself. Beds a bit stiff as well as a stuffy feel, but the staff was great. Would happily stay here again.

This is a hotel built on modern! From the elegantly darkened lobby, restaurant, and lounge areas,…read moreto the open-air atriums which also connect the buildings, this place has stylish down to a T! The room I got had a highly-efficient studio feel, with a HUGE double-sized bathtub/shower. The lighting here is exactly in tune with the rest of the hotel, and accent all parts of the room perfectly. The food & drinks here are truly fantastic (and for that you're going to pay a bit of a premium). The daytime bartender knows how to make an absolutely amazing Whiskey Sour, and he even has a special version made with Gentleman Jack, maple syrup, and orange marmalade! Naturally, since this place is called the east Hotel, there is a sublime selection of sushi and other Japanese culinary delights that you have to try! This is now my go-to hotel whenever I'm in Hamburg!

Easily my favourite European hotel - I've been staying here for over four years. Great location,…read morenice rooms and excellent in-house bar / restaurant. The rooms are large and with modern art decor. Comfortable and uniquely shaped beds, large shower areas with jet tub (openly located in the room), desk area, bar area (with full min bar) and lot's of "artsy" shaped furniture. The hotel is located near the waterfront and Reeperbhan. About $28 euro from the Hamburg airport. I really enjoy the main level bar area. Great atmosphere, dark, cool modern long bar down one side, large high wood tables with bar stools, and even some limited outdoor seating. Service is always great and they have a limited food menu with about 10 selections prepared in the main restaurant. I love the Maisels Weisse beer on tap, so refreshing. I always enjoy the sushi when I stay here, either at the bar or in the main restaurant. The menu changes up every year and the chef is always creating unique combinations. The fish choices are different vs. North American sushi restaurants - more eel, crab and crawfish. Also more non-fish options (i.e. Duck). That said, they still have some salmon or tuna options at select times. Service is consistently good throughout the hotel including check in/out, room service / cleaning, bars and restaurant. Never had a negative experience. PS - You can wear your room keys around your neck - this ensures you get back to the hotel after long crazy nights. BK

Also, free breakfast until 10 AM, not your usual packaged muffin. Authentic german breakfast with sausages, eggs, and delicious cakes! A true find for such a great price. Also, the front desk people are a dream. We forgot a bag of gifts for our friends and family, they kept it safe for us until they sent it back to us in the States. Everything we would ask for, they were super helpful and very generous with their time. We love Hotel Nevada!

They were trying to force us pay for 2 people, claiming that a TRIPLE room with three beds is for 2 people. They said: "We will not let you leave the building if you do not pay for two extra people". I finally managed to pay for one extra person. 4.3. We were surrounded by a group of people who seemed to be the same family. When my wife stepped up to speak in my support, they who seemed like extremists verbally attacked my wife claiming that she's not the proper person to talk as she was not wearing proper clothes according to their beliefs!!!!!!! Yes, that's right! It was in Hamburg, Germany. I am filing a claim against them through Booking.com. I will also raise a legal claim against them through my company's attorneys.

Still I loved this one and would always book this particular one because - I needed to meet a business partner on two days for six hour meetings. We sat at the community table in the lobby - stylish, sort of quiet, but surrounded by the most friendly staff you can imagine. - the staff wowed me. They really did. Now, why "only" four stars then? In my rating scheme, five stars is extraordinary. While the rooms were stylish and perfectly clean - extraordinary is more. To give five starts, I must be willing to make a detour of 30 mins or more just to go there. I highly recommend this particular hotel though. it is within walking distance to Alster Lake and in the Hohenfelde area. Also, walking distance to St. Georg area where there is a nice variety of restaurants. Bonus-there is a train stop right in front & can be taken to the airport (1/2 hour) and the city center is 5-10 minutes. Parking is €18 :-(

It is a high rise hotel with a spacious lobby area for lounging/cocktails and breakfast. They also had a nice patio with an ample amount of chairs and tables. The room was small but was fine as it was just me and only a weekend stay. Clean with modern furniture and bathroom. As with my experience with Motel One in other cities, the breakfast choices were plenty and very good. They were also able to store my luggage on the last day for a few hours after checkout although the storage area looked full which was appreciated. Check in & out was fast and employees were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately they don't have a loyalty program. Overall , great value for money.
