So when my parents took me out to lunch we decided to have a Panda Express picnic at Rotary Park. The breeze was on point. However the tables definitely needed a cleaning. I have not see any illegal activities yet but I am highly aware of illegal activities taking place at large parks but I have only stayed an hour or less and only seen children playing, mothers strolling their babies and elderly couples taking a brisk walk. I will be back and I would love to bring my nieces here too! I love parks and fresh air. I felt safe at this park no bad vibes will be back.

I was surprised how big it was. There are plenty of parking around the park. I saw a nice trail for people to walk on which is fantastic. On the park itself there are two big bridges I saw and in the distance is also a playground area with jungle gym for little ones to play at. Quite a lively park with many people utilizing it. There are many big and established grown trees providing lots of shade. This park is great for sports and outdoor activities because of the open space. There was no trash on the floor and the park is pretty well kept.

I…read morecalled it my secret park and even though it doesn't have any swings the kids loved the idea of it being a secret park. It's in a residential area near the train tracks. Seems like it's usually pretty calm and there wasn't many people when we came. There is a bathroom but it has no doors on the stalls and it looks like they hose it down in the morning. So make sure you all use the bathroom before you leave the house. Bring a basketball too because there are courts to play. There is also a tennis court and plenty of room to kick a soccer ball or play catch. The play structure has a lot of monkey bars so it's good for climbing and swinging. There is a big slide and the floor has wood chips for a mostly safe but for sure scratchy landing. It's fun for the kids to get to see the train pass but it's super loud so the babies may not like it.

Over the years there have been shootings and other crimes so just be alert and aware of your surroundings as with most places. There's tennis and basketball courts, a baseball field, fenced in kids playground equipment, some tables and benches and at least one barbecue (nothing shaded) and restrooms nearby. The park itself isn't anything special and it can get fairly dirty from people's trash. Even though it's riddled with duck poop everywhere, I would recommend going to Oso de Oro over this place. At least if you have smaller kids who like play equipment and you want shaded outdoor seating. Sometimes I like to walk here and let's just say that I've seen some things. A lot of people for some reason like to drive up, park and sit in their cars for some odd reason which makes me suspicious. I only come here in the daytime. Sometimes people will get out and smoke which seemed a little odd to me that they'd come to this park to just stand around and smoke for a few minutes. One time I walked here after Pokemon GO had just been released because there's a Pokespot and I saw a couple of cars parked in the area. I got excited thinking maybe they were playing Pokemon GO, but as I got closer I smelled the weed and figured out what they were really doing. lol Today the park was empty because it was 106° but I did see another guy pull up, park in the shade, roll his window down and sit in his car for like 20 minutes. Not sure if he was playing PokemoN GO or not since I didn't feel comfortable approaching. An ice cream van came by and entered the parking lot at a snails pace. He stopped and parked for several minutes in front of the other car. It was quite creepy since there were only 3 people in the park including me. I just like to stay alert. I did see a bunny in the playground area, but it ran away.

The food trucks show up here at least one day a week. There is a nice amphitheater in which to sit on days with good weather. During the summer, the city shows movies at this spot on Friday evenings. It's kind of in an odd spot but when I finally found the parking lot it was really cute. It's not big at all but it was big enough for all of my godson's friends to play. First impressions matter, and the neighborhood around it was kind of rough. We parked and my husband immediately noticed the used condom on the floor. ... gross. Not what I want my toddler and baby to be exposed to. I said well maybe if we park behind where the gate is, it'll be better? So off we went. There are indeed two areas, a gazebo-ish area, and another picnic area that are covered and reservable. At the time of our visitation, one was being used for a birthday party. So we sat in the other one. There is a bathroom but it's not super well kept, in spite of there being an attendant at the building. Cute building though. The water fountain was pooling nasty water.. and parts of the park stank unfortunately, so it didn't work out for the purpose we came for. The best part about this park is the decoration and equipment. Fun toddler rides. My three year old loved the rocking horse and car and swings. They have quite the variety of swings and playground equipment. So the kids really enjoy it. It is clear that this park was super cute at one point. It's still cute, just not as clean as I hoped it would be. The trolley was not running but made a cute background. And the little structures around the park are nice. There is a grassy area next to one of the picnic areas. An ice cream truck came often as well.

I am a fan of the walking path of this little green belt. It's definitely not what I would call a…read more'park,' but it does have some picnic tables and there is parking at the very end of Palm if you cross over Nees so that you can leave your car and not feel that your are infringing on someone's office parking. There is a view of the San Joaquin River that is quite pleasant, and if you try really hard, you can almost pretend you are out in the country rather than right underneath a multistory business complex. I've actually seen cottontail rabbits in the shrubs.
