After the appointment, it was very easy to communicate with the owner. He responded promptly and was transparent. I had to schedule a last minute hemming request and it was done on time! If you're in a pickle, just call and see if he can do it. He will not schedule an appointment if he knows he cannot get it done on time, which I appreciate for being direct. When I called, I explained my situation and was met with encouragement to come in so they could evaluate the issue and see if they could help. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Jessica--though she wasn't the person I spoke with on the phone, she turned out to be an absolute miracle worker. I showed her my dress: a beaded, sequined piece with a very high split and delicate tassel detailing. Without hesitation, she asked a few questions and immediately offered to hand sew the split down to a more modest length and she'd do her best to make it work. At that time I was desperate and would accept anything. Jessica spent about 15-20 minutes hand stitching the dress, freehand, with no measurements. I left hoping it would hold up for my event and let me tell you... it was flawless. I didn't even try it on until the night of, and it fit. The split was perfectly adjusted, the stitching held strong through dancing and a bunch of movement, and the dress looked untouched in terms of its original status. Jessica went above and beyond--not just with her craftsmanship, but with her kindness, speed, and willingness to help someone in a pinch. The entire staff was welcoming and supportive, but Jessica truly saved the day. I'll be recommending this place to everyone I know and will absolutely be returning for future needs.
