His work is beautiful and I particularly like his black and white pictures. You can buy a variety of hand printed, signed pictures and also framed work in different sizes. The prices are actually not too expensive and would be a great gift idea - you can buy 3 photographs (triples) in one frame for £95 and can choose which 3 pictures you would like. A brilliant find and great for browsing some genuinely inspirational work.

It was a really easy decision as Samuel came across as the most professional and reliable of the photographers we met. On our wedding day Samuel was really friendly, not only with us but with all our guests. We had lots of good comments about him from our family and friends. The best part of it was when we received our photographs. We were amazed with the results and we couldn't stop looking at them! We would recommend Samuel to anyone who's looking for a wedding photographer as we couldn't thank him enough for what he's done for our family. Thank you ever so much Samuel! Samantha & Paul
We were very disappointed with the photos we received from Samuel Da Silva for the following…read morereasons: 1) It took about 45 days for our wedding photos to be provided to us. 2) We were promised 400 photos but received less than the number agreed to. Instead, he tried to make up numbers by providing us the same photos in black and white, in addition to colour. 3) A large number of the photos taken both indoors and outdoors were overexposed. Most of the the lighting issues could be fixed relatively easily with software, available free online. While we're not experts, it took is very little time to fix these lighting errors ourselves. What is disappointing is that he did not take the time to fix these himself, even though he was late in delivering the photos. It seemed that he had just downloaded the photos from the camera's memory card to CD. Overall we received amateurish photos and we would not recommend him to our friends.

The cameras were great, we only needed 3 batteries for the whole day and we got hours of footage which You Do the Shoot provided to us. We also paid for YDTS to edit the footage to a 'best bits' video. The finished product was outstanding and will be treasured forever! We were provided with 6 copies of this on DVD, a couple which didn't work properly so YDTS sent us another 4 extra. The sound of the speeches and ceremony wasn't great on the raw footage but YDTS worked their magic and managed to make the speeches and ceremony clear - so we can watch this over and over as many times as we want. Would definitely use YDTS again (unlikely I'll have to!) and recommend them to all my friends.

We did not plan on taking professional photos but we got caught up in the idea and the various costumes available (Tudor, Old West, Gangster, etc). We chose "Tudor" and were quickly taken into a room so we could change and choose which headpieces we wanted to wear as well as rings and swords. The photographer was very professional and the sitting took about one hour. There was a variety of poses and props that we used and after the sitting we had over 125 photos to choose from. We had big laughs looking at the photos while sitting on a sofa in front of a big screen TV. In the end we decided on four photos and decided on a package plan which included digital copies. The price was fair and the photos were also retouched to give us flawless complexions which is always flattering. I recommend seeking out Old & New Photography Studio for your photographic needs. It was great for street photography (Monday during lunch hour in the financial district) and city scape / architectural photography). My guide, Steven - a professional photography - was very knowledgeable about the history of the City and an engaging person generally. He took us to really cool hidden gems through alleys that one wouldn't expect to lead anywhere - Charles Dicken's favorite pub, Shakespeare's church, a garden courtyard with office workers eating lunch in the sun while a guy practiced advanced yoga on the lawn, the shell of a church bombed out in WWII. There is so much to see in The City that I would definitely take this tour again.
