The space is located right outside of a major bridge which was actually pretty cool and scenic. When I walked in, the space was huge and tall. I didn't see any rigs but it had all the essentials of a crossfit gym: barbells, rings, boxes, jump ropes, and fit people. Being a weightlifter, It was good to see they had some kilo plates lying around (those colorful red/blue/yellow/green plates). I didn't notice those plates until the end along with the olympic bars (that spin forever). Regardless, if you are trying to use a good bar, go to the far back left corner of the gym and you'll find these gems. I warmed up with some snatches with a regular bar and black rubber plates. Since they were in pounds, I couldn't count (aka was too lazy to convert) to kilos and almost hit a PR that day! Who knew being lazy to count would almost have me set a new goal. Luckily I came in with my friend who knew the coach and let me lift for free. All in All, if you are looking for general fitness and with welcoming coaches, I would highly recommend Fearless Athletics.

The members and coaches are all awesome. The coaches are personable, well educated, value quality and safety, and really care about member satisfaction. The gym offers Crossfit classes, weightlifting classes, and Intensity classes (similar to a HIIT class). There are people of all shapes and sizes in every class so everyone fits in at Fearless. The price can be intimidating but it's well worth it if you attend classes regularly.

Moreover, even if the class is full they make sure to touch base with everyone and coach them, which really helps improving! In addition, the community is inclusive and welcoming, and will make you feel welcome whether it is your 1st or 100th workout.

But the good kind of sore? I took Emily's 7:30 am boot camp class and while the playlist was straight fire, my thighs were also on fire. We were a small group, so we were able to all get personal attention on form. Emily had laid out what we were going to do and made use of the timers, so I didn't have to count down the seconds myself. We used lots of different equipment (kettlebells, weights, jump ropes, ergs) and it made the 45 minutes go by a lot faster than I usually find at these types of classes. The space is huge, literally an open box, with lots of equipment. It seems some people just stop by and use the equipment, and they also have classes. 10 packs come out to $14 a class and 20 packs $12. They also have a 21 days for $49 pack for new members (which is a great deal) and other student and military discounts. 3x a week is $90 and (this is how they get you at the Movie theater with popcorn sizes) for only an extra $15 you can get unlimited (with 6 month commitment). For a bit extra you can get all access passes. But before you box Open Box into the Crossfit box, check out the upstairs yoga studio! Unlike many gyms where the yoga class is in the same room and its very difficult to feel zen, the yoga studio here is set off, sound proofed, painted a calming color, and has great manduka mats and blocks. I did a private workshop with Emily here and my friends and I had such a good time, she's great at teaching inversions and super encouraging! Open up your mind (and wallet) to Open Box, and you may just open up your heart to them, along with, probably, your hips.

We did a bag class which was a lot of punching intermixed with floor work including my most hated burpees. The class was challenging and educational. At the beginning of the class they wrap your hands and give you boxing gloves. The studio and gym space was large and did not feel crowded or hectic. I liked the fact that they had real gym equipment so even if there was not a class going on you could go there and work out. I was surprised to hear that they offered yoga and hit classes too. The gym is very affordable for all that it offers. We did an intro class but we are considering joining now. Thank you Randall!

First of all, the community is large and full of people who are interested in boxing and MMA but are also friendly folks. It's also not dominated by a bunch of dudes, which is nice to see. The instructors are top-notch and willing to discuss technique, both in terms of offense and defense. Highly recommended for people who are looking to get fit, find community, and/or looking to learn combat sports. ** Also, I'm struggling to understand some of the negative reviews I've seen here. The facility is incredibly well-maintained and the management is professional.**
