If Guzzies upped their game here, they'd get 5 stars. But again, still the best franchise and I would consider them better than Zambies, Mad Mex and Taco Bell overall. It gets worse from here. I had a burrito and my partner had the fajitas. They were presented with shredded cheese from a bag and old looking iceberg lettuce. The meat was seasoned with what tasted like Old El Paso taco mix. Why can't these people just take a trip to Mexico?

Now the issues, and really it's one main one and a second one that's more of a head scratcher: Lack of real flavor/spices - it's supposed to Mexican place yet the food, although good, lacks any kick to it. Last time I changed Mexican food isn't known for its blandness. There are no sauces on the side to top off your dish with other than a standard bottle of hot sauce you can get from any market. Part of the experience of going to a Mexican restaurant is trying different flavors/concoctions of sauces and varieties of salsas. Sure they have a tiny cup plastic cup of salsa you can buy for $2 more, but it was watery and bland too. Here's a free marketing tip... get a little sauce station with some nice hot sauces and salsa option and you will be likely see your drink revenue increase! The choices might not seem much at first sight, but there's a great number of mix and match really. My favourite is still the chicken (a variation of the chicken adobo) with everything and corn and onion salsa. The verde sauce is meant to be the spiciest sauce but it's just nice for me (one who is used to spices). The burrito is the largest offering of the lot, but even the taco can get pretty filling if you are in a hurry. It can get pretty busy and the queues can get very long (and they work till late at night on fridays and saturdays). However, the queues are fast moving and worth the wait! There's no alcohol in the place, but lots of soft drinks and teas.
